  1. My parents are moving and theyre giving me their stereo system they dont use anymore. Please evaluate it and let me know you think of the products. Kenwood KC-Z1 A/V receiver Carver TFM-15 CB Amp KEF Reference Series 103/4 Miller & Kreisel MX-90 Subwoofer. my equip Klipsch Quartet LoudSpeakers Nakamichi TA-4A Receiver Carver SD/A-360 CD player basic boring toshiba dvd player.
  2. 2 klipsch quartet loudspeakers Nakamichi TA-4A High Definition Tuner Amplifier Strasis Receiver Carver Multi CD Player SD/A-360 Linear Single Bit D/A Converter Basic Toshiba DVD Player Budget- no more than 1000-2000 Im looking to improve my system. give it that extra edge Im 19. I listen to all forms of rock, jazz, funk, reggae. I watch all kinds of movies Ratio between music and movies is about 50/50 Not sure about what roomsize will be next year. I dont know a whole lot. something i was thinking about doing was getting a Klipsch 10" sub or Klipsch 12" sub (depending on price) and 2 more speakers (my receiver doesnt seem to be set up to take a surround sound. although im not sure how to tell. when i look in the back there are 4 hookups for speakers, and various hookups for cd, video 1, video 2, etc) As far as adding two speakers, i would like to add 2 more quartets but havnt had luck finding them. ive found plenty of heresy II and III's, but im not sure if those are capable of matching up with the quartets or not. Any input you have will be much appreciated. If you would like to evaluate my system right now, give me your take on what you would do, or just help me with my options i would appreciate it a lot. P.S. please use terms i might be able to understand. novice when it comes to stereos

  4. Is it possible to match up a pair of Klipsch Quartets with a pair of Heresy III or Heresy II? will they match up well?

  7. Ive been looking into a couple of subs. Klipsch sub 12 and klipsch sub 10. I also was looking at a Klipsch - Synergy III 5-1/4" 2-Way Center-Channel Speaker but im not exactly sure of the benefits. I know what a sub can do to my system so i think thats set. but i dont know if i should build up for a surround sound, or if i should try to find another pair of the same speakers(if possible). Im pretty positive my receiver isnt capable of taking a surround but im unsure. All i see in the back are hookups for 4 speakers and an array for hookups for cd player, video 1, video 2, tuner etc. Either way is a possibility. im just wanting something thats gonna sound badass. Right now the the 2 more speaker and sub addition sounds like a winner, but do i want to go with the same speakers, do i want to get a center channel speaker, would i rather get some good bookshelf speakers etc.????
  8. Ill admit i dont know a whole lot about audio systems other than the face that i like them. i am currently trying to upgrade/improve my home stereo. mine is great as it is but id like more. here is what i have 2 Klipsch quartet floor loudspeakers Nakamichi TA-4A Receiver / High Definition Tuner Amplifier Carver Multi CD player SD/A 360 each are from approx 1991. except cd player. not sure what year. between 94-97? I definitely want to keep the speakers. and the receiver, and probably the cd player. i dont really know why i would change any of them. But i dont know what do as far as getting more speakers (if so what kinds will match up well), a subwoofer, and any other equipment that might be needed. Please help me out giving me your advice, or opinions. Any feedback is much appreciated Im not really sure of a price range. moderate to cheap. definitely not expensive or top of the line.
