  1. I thought I had posting pictures figured out. cubdog
  2. Some pictures of the new speakers and my HT front.
  3. Mine are Cherry. I have yet to find the flaw that makes them B stock. These are strickly for 2 channel use. My four CF3s do nicely for HT duty. cubdog
  4. I got them about 6:00 last night. Hope to put them through their paces today. Photos to follow. cubdog
  5. Thanks for the review. cubdog
  6. The Sound Seller is who I bought them from. cubdog
  7. Love my CF3s,[version 2],. I have 4 of them in my HT setup with a KV4. I have also used a single pair for 2 channel listening. I listen primarily to jazz, lots of piano and saxophone. Sometimes at higher volumes these instruments can sound harsh on any system. The CF3s are very tame in this regard much more so than the Cornwalls they repaced. I would love to hear some version 1s of either the 3 or 4s. If I don't like the 7s that is still an option. cubdog
  8. The speakers will arrive tomorrow afternoon! cubdog
  9. Well, I don't have them yet. I bought them from a seller located a couple hundred miles north of me. He thought they would arrive today. I called the freight line and they told me the speakers are in Chicago. Next, they will drive right by me on their way to the Quad Cities. Then they will turn around and come back east to Oregon Il. A three hour drive turns into a 6 day odyssey. Thank God shipping was free. cubdog
  10. Now I'm getting impatient. There's just something about getting new speakers. cubdog
  11. A HLLY Tamp-300 tripath amp. It sounds great with my CF3s and I'm hoping the synergy will be just as good with the RF 7s. cubdog
  12. Better be really good! I should have them on Monday. I'll be comparing them to CF3s version 2. I'll report my opinions. cubdog
  13. Does anyone drive their Klipsch speakers with a tripath amp? I'm currently using my HLLY Tamp-300 and a Yaqin MS 12B pre with a pair of CF3s. I'm thinking about getting some R-7IIs to use with the same amp, pre combination. I'm a big fan of tripath amps. They sound great with Klipsch speakers IMO. cubdog
  14. Ahhh.....so now we have a Budget? Probably should mention what that budget is, so we aren't looking in the wrong ballpark! Dennie Don't we all have a budget? Kind off depends on what mood my wife is in but lets say $1500 or less.cubdog
  15. Jubiles or Jubscalas, I'm sure, would be nice.Unfortunately money must play a factor in my decision. I like the R7 suggestion but the ones I see have been priced around $1300. cubdog
  16. I have owned, in the past, KG4s and Cornwalls. Currently I own 4 CF3s that I use for my HT. Of all the Klipsch speakers I have listened to the CF3s are my favorites. I'm going to put together a new 2 channel system an I'm curious as to what other Klipsch speakers I might like. I currently own SS, tube and tripath amps but I'll probably use a 150wpc tripath amplifier in this system. Any suggestions? BTW I'm not a fan of Fortes or La Scalas and I'm thinking of more modern speakers. cubdog
  17. Concept was the house brand for Pacific Stereo. Their recievers are legendary for their sound and build quality. I've never heard one of their TT but I wouldn't dismiss one untill I saw /heard it. cubdog
  18. I for one think this is a great thread. I'll be moving back to Illinois, just west of Chicago, and will definately check out the local dealer. We do not have anyone in Denver that carries the Heritage line. cubdog
  19. Those results were as I expected. I did a comparison between Polk Monitor 10s, Klipsch KG4s ,and JBL L-96s. Those I rank JBL, Klipsch, and Polk. cubdog
  20. You won't need alot of power, What are you currently using?
  21. RMFA = Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. Third anual, held at the Denver Marriott. I forget how many exhibitors but I would guess somewhere around 250. Three days. This year there were diplays on 6 different floors. Great fun. cubdog
  22. I'm bumping this in hopes that a Klipsch representative might provide an answer. Thanks. cubdog
