Mike, my fix for that is always use the extension at a 90 degree angle. Adjusted valves on a Cummins engine that way, never had an issue. I guess it was close enough.

At the school house a lot of folks thought they had to perform the calculation when using an extension between wrench and socket. Since this does not increase the 'arm' there is no difference in applied torque. Application is only needed when the arm is shortened or lengthened. For the most part the difference falls with the allowed range but we deal with some torques as low as 3 inch lbs.

  2. Not that you need to be this precise on this but unless the 'adapter' is clocked 90 degrees to the torque wrench the overall effective length / torque is changed.

    • M1 = M2 x L1 / L2

    Where:

    • M1 is the torque setting of the wrench
    • M2 is the actual torque applied to the nut
    • L1 is the normal length of the wrench
    • L2 is the extended length of the wrench

No word since Thursday when they planned to drop and flush the tank. Corporate gas company covering all costs directly to dealership

Picked it up yesterday good as new. In total it cost me a 1/2 tank of gas; filled up then but dealer put 1/2 tank back in so I lost about $20 for the ordeal. I paid $1560 but was reimbursed about 15 minutes later. In effect I paid $20 for the dealer to detail the car.

June 3rd comes the PPF and ceramic coating.

  5. Fueled up with 93 octane taking 14.5 gallons of 16 max. Ran 3 miles, started missing then shut down. Cellular BMW diagnostic was too lean. Took 4 hours to get a tow that would work with car. There wasn’t a tow adapter in the car. Dealership told me that they couldn’t deliver one from 10 minutes away. They did. No way to shift from park to neutral without engine running.

on line tech...check fuel cap, check oil cap, did you use at least 91 octane? Dealer will get another blast tomorrow re missing tow adapter.

  6. Asking price $3000.00 plus shipping
When I bought the new house I envisioned separate 2 channel and HT rooms with the Parasound and Jubs in a room by themselves; that didn't work out.

I put the preamp, amps and Jubs on furniture dollies and wheeled them thru the three available rooms, connected, powered up and listened for about 5 minutes each.
Turns out that I selected the family room and combined the 2 channel and HT. It is what it is.
The Parasound preamp and amps have about 15 minutes on them from a 5 minute test in each room.
This is a condemnation of rooms not equipment.

I can't justify using the Parasound to power outdoor speakers for the pool if I can get some $ back on a sell.

    Any interest?
