  1. Just use a decent crimping tool. My julibees work fine with lamp cord. Ferules work great on some things
  2. Only positive experience is allowed here. Only this brand for the last 31 years for me but all things change
  3. And then the OP should sing out loud kudos to a vendor in these times that actually works a sticky situation out. any lawyer onboard to work a national chain / franchised furniture store that took my $32,000 order in Dec 2020, hasn’t delivered and refuses to refund?
  4. I wanted to take no chances so I used a Niles SPK1 switch to swap between my ss and tube amp on my Klipsch

    Home generators

from the 'web' Although Generac has increased its output of standby residential generators, incoming orders have exceeded the additional production, Jagdfeld said. The company reported a 28-week backlog
  6. Good luck, signed a long time ago and have yet to receive any acknowledgement

    Home generators

I had a 22K Generac installed. Natural gas required another larger pipe installed. Still waiting on the second transfer switch (125 amp) to arrive; the 200 amp came with the generator. Also awaiting city to install larger gas meter at no charge. I tried to talk my way out of the additional gas but the installer was adamant that in order to perform whole house duties the generator needed more volume. I can't see having the pool heater running, using the gas grill etc, etc during an outage but I did specify WHOLE home. $16k and don't know when the 125 amp switch will arrive. City refuses to sign off on another 200 amp switch which is available.

  11. Got the bike home today. After two years of storage I replaced the battery, a little Marvel oil down the cylinders, some injector cleaner in the fuel and Walla fired right up.

    What I Got Today!

Let's just say while looking for a bike for my son I came across a deal that I simply could not refuse. The Road King had been sitting in climate controlled storage for almost 2 years and the owner no longer wanted to pay the storage fees.

  15. Without acoustic measurements (yet, I have to learn that REW thingy) but , in general, where to start in this open room. From fridge wall to windows is 34' From wall behind speakers to wall near fireplace is 24' Ceiling is 10' Window treatments are 2" open cell
  16. McIntosh MX151 and MX160 here. I stay one model behind and bought the 160 when the 170 came out. I just wanted 4K pass to move to 160 and only use 5.2 in my set
  17. At the school house a lot of folks thought they had to perform the calculation when using an extension between wrench and socket. Since this does not increase the 'arm' there is no difference in applied torque. Application is only needed when the arm is shortened or lengthened. For the most part the difference falls with the allowed range but we deal with some torques as low as 3 inch lbs.
  18. Not that you need to be this precise on this but unless the 'adapter' is clocked 90 degrees to the torque wrench the overall effective length / torque is changed. M1 = M2 x L1 / L2 Where: M1 is the torque setting of the wrench M2 is the actual torque applied to the nut L1 is the normal length of the wrench L2 is the extended length of the wrench

    What I Got Today!

Picked it up yesterday good as new. In total it cost me a 1/2 tank of gas; filled up then but dealer put 1/2 tank back in so I lost about $20 for the ordeal. I paid $1560 but was reimbursed about 15 minutes later. In effect I paid $20 for the dealer to detail the car. June 3rd comes the PPF and ceramic coating.

  22. Fueled up with 93 octane taking 14.5 gallons of 16 max. Ran 3 miles, started missing then shut down. Cellular BMW diagnostic was too lean. Took 4 hours to get a tow that would work with car. There wasn’t a tow adapter in the car. Dealership told me that they couldn’t deliver one from 10 minutes away. They did. No way to shift from park to neutral without engine running. on line tech...check fuel cap, check oil cap, did you use at least 91 octane? Dealer will get another blast tomorrow re missing tow adapter.
  23. Well, that didn't last long. Knew I should have gotten the vette.
