I have a pair of RF-5’s and would like more bottom end.  Would the Anthem MCA 30 be a good choice?

Imo, adding a decent quality subwoofer would be where I'd spend my money if you already have it sufficiently powered.

The "Harper Collins Study Bible" and the "Jeremiah Study Bible" sound like they provide different angles on the material, with one offering a more scholarly approach and the other focusing on the sermon and practical aspects. This duality can be a great way to gain a comprehensive understanding of the historical and religious context of the time, as well as its relevance to modern interpretations.

Agreed! Btw, if you're into that kinda thing check this out:

    @RealMarkDeneen Ha! I've gone a slightly different historical route. I'm on the last 100 pages of a 900+ page book by Dr Robert Eisenman, "James the Brother of Jesus" which isn't religious but more of a historical look at 2nd Temple Judaism to right after 70 CE when the temple was destroyed. It's taken me the better part of half a year to read while I research the historicity of his sources. {Note: I started with my copy of Josephus but found it was easier to research on the internet. ;)}

The Dead Sea Scrolls have been an interest of mine for quite sometime!

Riesling is a white grape and wine variety, which is counted among the highest quality and culture-defining plants.

Especially along the middle Rhine and Mosel Rivers is where the major growers are. My favorites are the Mosel Spatelase wines and for a real treat an Auslese! My wife and I took a train and rode bikes on a self-made wine tasting tour from Cochem to Bernkastle. 😎

Well when someone says that a square peg fits in a round hole perfectly you would have to believe that it is misinformation and that the individual flunked science.

Good point. It's a good idea to approach any media with a scientific outlook instead of accepting anything someone is telling you to accept on faith they are telling you "the Truth."

Who decided what is ," miinformation'. 🙄🙄🙄

We live in the Information Age and although there are things we don't know, others we can differentiate by actual facts. When we actually see a person speak or witness a live event on "TV" it eliminates the need for a pundit to tell us what's going on. When it gets to the court system, we can weigh the evidence along with keeping up with trials and court cases....

The opposite would be posting/publishing opinions and having an alternative agenda in mind. There's even a phrase coined in that regard and what Facebook and YouTube are trying to combat. That's my take.

I'm not a fan of YouTube, I don't know what to watch there, I just listen to music

I used to be that way and in fact am watching a few music videos as I type......That said, I started the day checking out livecams, watched a recently uploaded Swiss hiking video in 4K, and several News-related headlines from various global perspectives while I work. I enjoy how seamless it is between devices and locations.

Ha! I wouldn't necessarily call those "action shots." It reminded me it's like that at the airport coming back from international travel as an American. I could enter Foreign countries faster than coming back to my own. 😐 Anyway, thanks for posting and glad you found something that interests you--check out that crazy bike crossing in Amsterdam in the morning. Alot more action. 😎

  10. I posted a liveshot from a crazy crossing in Amsterdam, but this is one I also go to everyday. {Note : If you click on the originator in YouTube it will have time-lapse videos of an underground Bicycle Parking Garage they built over the last 3 years when the drained that canal. 😲

Within all establishment media, there is an acceptable (allowable) range of both ideas to report and critique. It roughly correlates to the "Overton Window." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overton_window

I guess I agree and it is the best we can do given society and we have to rely on Human Beings to get things done. From the link: "The Overton window is the range of policies politically acceptable to the mainstream population at a given time."

The reasons is obvious....having the government as an enemy is bad for profits, or non-profit budgets.

Here is where we disagree. I assure you it's not obvious nor contradicts what I typed.  At the very least I hope we can agree that if we pay attention we do have access to effective information to form our own opinions; Whereas, when there were only terrestrial tv and then cable, information was alot more limited.

That's the weak point. I once was an avid Frontline viewer, until i noticed that they always pulled their punches when conclusions were unfavorable to government.

I fat and away prefer independent journalism.

I again will politely disagree and feel they ARE independent journalism. They were critical of government within a year of 9/11, openly seemed to criticize Obama Foreign Policy (all though they gave room for debate in both) and every administration since and after.

There are several great live-cams from Amsterdam but this is the most mesmerizing.

I gotta repost this Live shot from Amsterdam which is GREAT for those who wants to see precision at a crossroad between Pedestrians, Bicycles, Cars, and trams at one small intersection. This is entertaining and realize the 7 hour time difference from central time.

How much YouTube do you watch?

6-12 hours a day... every day.

This is definitely me on most days. Some things are awesome in 4K on the big screen and/or experiencing in the Klipsch Home Theater listed in my sig. Otoh, alot of the material I like to carry with me on my tablet that's more educational (and yes, some truecrime crap for distraction) while I'm doing tasks.

Despite its censorship shortcomings, YT is a decent source of health, wellness and medical viewpoints.

Where we will disagree about YouTube censorship being a shortcoming, DW News and PBS Frontline make excellent documentaries and are Govenment subsidized. I watch these and others regularly on YouTube and don't feel the need for a subscription service.

That said, I watched this while doing dishes and while good, we've known this for decades and it is interesting seeing how Europe and Mexico are dealing with the problem we've been exporting.

At my last physical my doctor recommended 4 different vaccines and staten drugs. I turned all of them down and increased the days I eat oatmeal which rapidly drops cholesterol.

Interesting. In the last 6 months, I have eliminated several prescription drugs. That, combined with radically overhauling my diet, resulted in my overall health improving markedly. I will not be taking more vaccines now that I have taken a deep dive into the sloppy science and corrupt politics...

You go guys! 😁 Do or don't do what your doctor tells you and continue to blame the government for your/society's problems!

Heck, I love these discussions but please start your own thread and I'll join in. Seriously, I had an interesting 90+ page thread discussing Healthcare strategies pre-Covid disappear--Poof! Because of the lowest common denominator amongst us made several inappropriate posts.

Mark was the previous #1 Klipsch "content provider," and now it's the Cannonball dude. Fwiw, I enjoy posting my thoughts and responding to others but HATE when it just disappears. This isn't a rant against moderators and I totally understand where they're coming from. I enjoy my Klipsch speakers and talk about them here, but can't help engage in conversations with friends and acquaintances on these threads because the real world is interesting as well.

On that note: Vote in the Poll!

What we learned from this pandemic is that you can either go out and get sick or stay home and get sick.

Fwiw, My wife nor I ever got Covid-19. We reluctantly opened after being forced to close for 2 months and abided by Government guidelines the best we could. We had no documented case of spread at our business since we stopped keeping track and everyone had the chance to be vaccinated...

Otoh, we kept track of who and where Covid was spreading in our group and sadly Covid-19 doesn't care how you vote. Nowadays you have the freedom to choose how you want to deal with it...Regardless, don't get medical advice from a Speaker Forum!

I'm deeply concerned about dangerous NaCl, a toxic dietary compound that has been added to the food supply, 4MM deaths just in 2015. A weapon of mass destruction.

When I walk into a restaurant and see salt shakers, it's like having a grenade on every table. Even minors can reach it.

I think we need a ban on salt advertising, the Morton Salt girl is a transparent attempt to seduce innocent minors into picking up the salt shaker. A gateway condiment to salt laden ketchup  or soy sauce.

Start a separate thread on it and I may join in. You may even own stock in Ivermectin and you/we could discuss that as well...Jeff seems to be on to something and it will be a lively conversation!

Taking ivermectin with weed will make your speakers sound better.

What's with you guys and Ivermectin? I think the medical advice on this thread is OT, but it seems a nice ale with weed would be the better alternative. Heck, weed and a cold bottle of water may be the best thing to enjoy your Klipsch speakers. Dunno, but I'm pretty sure Ivermectin has NO influence in making ANY speaker sound better. That's my take.

There is a format for those who insist on discussing the subject(s) not relevant to the thread.  It is called pm's, but experience has shown that many here are too gutless for true freedom such as it can afford.  Many would rather whine where it is not appropriate rather than participate where it is.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me but let me respond. I tried debating here by PMs and that format sucks! 😣 Jeff started an interesting one in the beginning, but I lost interest because it was discussing propaganda, that's being litigated in the courts right now. When I disengaged, the PM disappeared and I no longer had access to it. Sad because what I liked about BS is revisiting these issues.

Fwiw, I think you're debating Covid using strawmen here. I debated it here, on Facebook, and through emails while learning about it at the time and now there are more relevant things to discuss, imo. Thanks for trying to refrain, though. 😑
