  1. Oh, ment to share this on the front of the booklet..........in the usual Telarc style
  2. ........onto, Side 2....... That is all for now, I will try to be more 'involved' here. Enjoy the evening (or in Paul's case - Good morning!)
  3. Another with the full sized booklet and lots of pictures of the cannon being recorded outside in a school yard !
  4. Sorry for not posting here in such a long time, but I do stop by and observe the spins and banter . Tonight, (Tuesday in the States), is Telarc Tuesday over in RTM. I decided to dig out this wonderful RE-release on 200 gram vinyl pressed by 'Quality Pressings'. This one has the REAL CANNONS, and I was curious to see if the new Ortofon M2 Blue could keep up with those menacing grooves! Well, it was a challenge for sure. The tone arm at worse was bounced OUT of the grooves and into a few seconds further into the recording where it landed on more of the cannons' volley!! Skipped and bounced a bit more. Oh well, the finest turntables back in the day did not far any better when this was originally released back in 1979! You can read all about the history of that. There are a few videos I have found that show the whole tone are wiggling right to left trying to keep up . Anyway, here are some photos of 1 of 1000 released in 2012.
  5. Thanks for this. I was one of TWO keyboardists in a 9 piece Neil Diamond show band! The band was retired in 2020 when we lost all our shows due to Covid, and the lead vocalist decided to retire the band. I was with them for 15 out of the 20 year run ! The most exciting adventure was getting an all expenses paid trip to Vegas as the backing band to some 13 Neil Diamond singers from all over the world ! We actually had 4 of Neil's musicians on our stage joining us for the conclusion of the concert! Two of which are on that album you just played!! Fun times.
  6. On the UTurn via Cambridge Audio photo stage / full Bang and Olufsen 6500 series system and Klipsch RP-600M stand mounts. All for now, more again soon 🍷
  7. Hello Friends! Ok, went through 3 pages back, left my laughs and likes . Today while cleaning and other house chores, I decided to dig up an LP I had not played in a while. All because I was watching one of my youTube audio reviewers this morning, and he was playing a Joan Armatrading tune. So, brought up the A&M / Altec Lansing demo LP from the Music Hall and put it on the livingroom system.
  8. This is a really nice recording. The FULL SIZED, many paged booklet is a plus. Here, on 180 gram, sounds very good!
  9. Paul, this is the image from the fountain/waterproof spots projecting onto the ceiling. It is an aqua/blue color in this setting. All the up cans behind the gear are set to dark blue..
  10. Meanwhile, on to side B.........closeup of the M2 Blue etc...............
  11. There it is Paul........sounds like you got it thought out. I could give you the product numbers. Are you 240vac ? The lighting I have are cans on the floor with remote all color LED bulbs that are programable. The lighting hitting the ceiling and reflecting downward are LED underwater units made for swimming pools and garden fountains etc. They too are remote controlled / programable, any color.
  12. And a vibe photo from the dedicated listening space with new LED up lighting....
  13. Greetings! Ok my vinyl friends, been a long while.............so, here are my photos from my current spinning over in RTM.... A Steely Dan classic, bought new back in the day, still sounds FRESH. Listening on the Martin Logans 2.1 / Parasound system / Rega RP-6 tonight.... Enjoying a fine bottle of Pinot Noir tonight.........
  14. Nice tribute Mossy!
  15. Good evening everyone, good morning Paul ! First off, Happy New Year to all, 🍷 🍸 and it is the 7th day of Christmas (8th for Paul), so, merry, merry 🌲 . As I was reading through the comments from yesterday, I ran to take a look at all my RE-released Bill Evans LPs. They are all on OJC / Riverside labels. I think that is a good thing. They sound very good. Ok, all from here for now. I hope to join in with more vinyl spinning this new year. See you all soon!
  16. Thank you for the info!
  17. New knee and new dish! Hope recovery is quick and soon all will be well again. Thanks for the update Paul. Have a good day, nearing bedtime here. More soon.
  18. Thank you PAUL ! Hope you enjoyed yours as well. New Years will be next up ! 🍷 🍺 πŸΈπŸŽ„
  19. Merry Christmas my friends. Yes, been a while since my last visit I know. However, what better day to return the on Christmas! 🌲 So, this is my first spin since the UTurn was placed on the Bang and Olufsen system in the livingroom with Klipsch 600M on the stands. This recording was something that I dug out of my mum's library every Christmas morning before opening the gifts which customarily too place after a big breakfast. Burt Kaempfert 'Christmas Wonderland'... No release date, but most likely early 70ies AND monophonic on Decca still covered in original shrink .
  20. Vibe photo with NEW LED lighting arrangement, colour combo. All for now. Have a good evening everyone. πŸŒ›
  21. Rear artwork, and the adult beverage for the evening 🍷
  22. Good evening friends! Tonight, spinning this over in RTM with a friend who just picked up the BluRay 5.1 version!
  23. I always got a big kick out of his Woodstock performance! Memorable
  24. Hello Paul, I know you are bedding down at this time, however, this spin you have going here is a 'Right This Minute' sync play favorite! I have a MoFi 'Original Master' DSD disc of it, as well as a vinyl copy. Great classic, recording, tunes and talent all in one package!
