  1. I entered REFERENCE SERIES and 98103 zip code in Klipsch's "Find a Dealer" menu. There is not a single retailer but I did hear a rumor about a retailer and I just want to verify. Here is the result that the Klipsch web returned: AMAZON.COM, INC. 1200 12TH AVENUE SOUTH SUITE 1200 SEATTLE , WA 98144 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Phone: 206-622-2335 Fax: 206-622-2405 Website: www.amazon.com Retail Store ProMedia Approx. 6.31 Mile(s) Map It! Interested in becoming a Klipsch Authorized Dealer or Distributor?
  2. Yeah. I might swing by your place if I happened to be going to Canada. That's about 1.5 - 2 hr drive depending on traffic.
  3. I heard that there is going to be a retailer in Seattle that carries the RF line. Is it true?
  4. Well, some answers but they have not been substantiated. Quite often, it appears to be the practice to improve the low end extension of smaller drivers at the sacrifice of a hump in the 90-180Hz range.
  5. Perhaps the Chorus II is flatter in the 90-180 Hz range(?) and hence the implied quality goes with it.
  6. Thanks to all who responded. Have a great week.[]
  7. Could someone tell me why the RF-52 has a lower (34Hz) FR than RF-62 (38Hz)?
  8. Can you listen to the mid/woofer drivers in close range to see if they put out the same range of musical notes? That should tell ya if the speaks are purely 2-way type.
  9. Whao. This response implies that the RF series of Klipsch speakers are 3-way speakers with a tweeter, mid, and woofer. Are they really 3-way? I'm 100% sure I've seen them advertised as 2-way speakers on the Klipsch website, and I was of the understanding that they were indeed 2-way with two woofers and one tweeter. Am I all wrong? audiobliss Apparently, the two drivers below the tweeter are not identical and that would probably explain the excellent low frequency extension of the RF series - the lowest driver is sort of like unpowered sub for one to feed the power. Klipsch owners - correct me if I am wrong.
  10. OOPS. Sorry I missed the point of the original reply. I just needed more coffee earlier this morning. Thanks to speakerfritz.
  11. Thanks for the reply. I would like to know if LF=woofers (plural) in terms of actual operation of a biamped speaker. My current floorstander LF = lower LF. So I am interested in knowing if Klipsch LF = 2 woofers in real operation terms. ** please ignore this question. My bad reading.
  12. Hi, If you have biamp connection, would you mind telling me if the LF terminals provide music power to the two woofers or just the lower woofer? Thanks.
  13. Raider has explained the term 2.5 way. I 'll just provide examples: Paradigm, Monitor Audio, Energy and Acoustic Research (a while back) make/made 2.5 way speakers. The lower xover is sometimes not stated in the spec and hence they would appear to be just like any 2-way design by the spec. ~
  14. Hi, Someone told me that the RF-XX are 3-way speakers. Is it true? I recall that once upon a time the floorstanders were spec'ed as 2-1/2 way speakers. Currently all RF-xx are spec'ed like 2-way with xover at ~2000 Hz. I suspect that they are 2-1/2 way - how can the RF-52 play down to 34 Hz @ -3db if the lower LF driver is the same as the upper LF driver? If the lower LF driver was designed differently, then the conclusion would be that RF series would be 2-1/2 way. But 2-way sounds better for marketing purpose since the term is easier to understand. Any thoughts from owners? Thanks.
  15. How does RB81 compare with Heresy II in listening tests?
