  1. Also I would be willing to do a partial trade on one of the items for a pair of b&c de250 compression drivers
  2. The prices are pretty firm. Also with the horns I tried jbl 2485's and b&c dcm 50. I like the sound of the jbls better so I'm in the process of building a pair of 223fc tractrix horns from jwcs plans. This will allow me to cross at 300 hz from the bass bin.
  3. Switching out components in my system again so I have a few items for sale 1. Eliptrac 400 horns from Daves Fastlane Audio a little over a year ago. These were built by Dave. They sell new for 525 plus shipping. My asking price is 350 plus actual shipping charges via fedex ground. (SOLD) 2. I have a set of ALK Universal Crossovers I built a few years ago. They are built exactly to spec. I used Clarity cap ESA's in the midrange and tweeter network portions. My asking price is 350 plus shipping in the CONUS. I have a couple hundred more than this just in the parts. 3. Minidsp Dsp balanced 2x4 with power supply. I went with the 2x8 instead. It has the stereo 2 way xover loaded onto it. I have used it for a total of a couple hours. $110 shipped in the CONUS. All of these items are available for local pickup in Northern Indiana area code 46706. If you would like to check my feedback on avsforum my username is shepjk26 and shepjk25 on ebay.
  4. I have decided to use the jbl 2242's for bottoms as they are flat until around 320hz then start dropping. I'm going to try my hand at building a set of the 233hz fc tractrix horns that jwc designed. This would allow me to crossover low enough to meet up with the jbls. I have a couple of minidsps that I will use as crossovers and go full active.
  5. I saw the new horn. I contacted fastlane to see if the horn could be used down to 320hz. With an fc of 240 I thought the lowest it would load the driver was around 350. I have an all active setup I could use to run steep slope crossovers on the driver.
  6. 43 inches in height by 33 inches deep by 50 inches in width. I would like at minimum 60 to atleast 400hz. If I can go lower than that great. I'm looking for the cabinet to best my pair of dbbs if there is one. I originally built the dual jbl 2242 bass bins to replace my dbbs, in modeling they would play well out to over 500hz, but in reality they drop like a rock after 320hz.From 35-320hz I have not heard better bass than the dual 2242's, they sound like the dbb's on steroids. Another idea is to use the mid driver down to 300hz but I'm having a hard time finding a tractrix horn that will work that low.
  7. I will be crossing over to a jbl 2485j mounted to an elliptrac horn. I would like to go with a folded design due to size. Also I can use one or two drivers per cabinet. The goal is to be able to keep up with dual jbl2242's per left and right speaker that will run from 35-120hz.
  8. I thought about it but it is 48 inches in depth which would stick out to far into the room.
  9. Its that time of year again to start another build so I thought I would ask what is a good horn loaded diy bass bin . My requirements are the bin or horn play from 60-400 hz with authority. Also that it can be used in a 3 way design with an alk universal crossover as I have a pair lying around. I also have 4 k33's sitting unused that I could use in the build. I'm looking for something like a lascala on steroids. Also the width cannot be over 53 inches and the depth not more than 33. the height below 43 inches. I have dual jbl 2242's to use for left and right stereo subs from 30-120hz. Any help would be appreciated. I also have all the tools to take frequency graphs.
  10. It will take a full size truck or van to haul them
  11. I recently upgraded my sub amp and have this amp for sale. I'm the original owner and purchased the amp 1 year ago new from amazon.I have all the original paperwork, box, and receipt for warranty purposes. Behringers warranty is transferrable. - SOLD
  12. I use a jbl 2485 for the mid mated to an elliptrac with a b&c de50 for the tweeter. I just got in a pair of minidsp 2x4 balanced to go to a fully active crossover. The planned crossover points are 350hz for bottom to mid and 5000hz for mid to tweeter. Once I get the crossover figured out I will start a thread in the mods section with build picks and measurements.
  13. I will have these for sale about another week then off to my dad they go if the yare not sold.
  14. I own lascalas and did own khorns. The dbb's have the most punch in the 50-100hz range verified by listening and measurements. They play out to around 800hz pretty flat, but in my current configuration I cut them off at 400.
