  1. Have for sale a Beresford TC-7520 DAC, will do $70+shipping See pics below (not mine but mine looks just like it).
  2. Thanks Joe - Yup! the item will ship from 20817.
  3. Wish I would have seen this sooner. Ended up buying a used Pioneer Elite SC-27 just last night. Anyways, I hope the Pioneer has respectable performance.
  4. I have for sale Sumo Athena Preamp in excellent condition. Will try and upload pictures later. Asking price $250+shipping
  5. Thanks Mark - they look even better in person. Kornukopia - These subs do sound amazing. I was using them in my home theater. When I moved to my new place - I just could not get them to work well with the rest of my system. I use REW to take measurements at the listening position and I was having less output at the listening position with four subs than the output I was able to achieve with two subs due to cancellation. Perhaps I needed to read-up a little more to see if could integrate them - but for now, given the limit spots where I could place them - I could not them four subs to work well together. These really are incredible subs and will blow must subs out there above I would say 30Hz.
  6. Some Pictures (sorry for poor quality cell phone pics):
  7. Wow - that is an incredible price. I couldn't see my self accepting anything less than $SOLD each. (perhaps $SOLD for the pair). Maybe its best I just hold on to them for now.
  8. I have a pair of subs that are in remarkable condition. I bought them from the original owner who used them in his home theater as well as his dedicated 2-channel system. They are in excellent condition. There might be a mark or two on the cabinet from moving them around - but overall, they should easily be a 9/10 on audiogon scale. They have the 2242H Drivers - which sell for $1,017/driver at Parts Express. Mine have about 150 hours of play time (I probably watched 25 movies on them and the original owner indicated that he watched about 50 movies on them). Don't know what to ask for them - any thoughts on a fair price? Thanks, D
  9. I'd be interested in purchasing the driver if you would be willing to ship.
  10. Fostex Tweeters and Tang-Band Drivers also pending sale.
  11. FWIW - I've owned the Fisher 500C (NOS Valve Restored), A Scott 299A (NOS Valve Restored), and A Scott 296 (NOS Valve Restored to the Max), an Eico HF87 (NOS Valve Restored) + Eico HF85 (NOS Valve Restored), and Eico HF81. All the aforementioned units were hooked up to Klipsch Cornwalls - of all the units, my favorite was the Fisher 500C, with Scott 296 a close second. I'm not saying thats how others would rate them - but I really enjoyed my Fisher 500C. The Scott 296 had brute power and was very detailed in its presentation. The more pure the incoming signal, the more pure the output. With the Fisher 500C, no matter what the source was - it all sounded good. I felt it was kind of the most "musical" components I've owned. I'm sure the Fisher 400 is comparable
  12. Shipping would be a problem ? I have some play money coming up and just wondering. Mark - I think shipping would be cost prohibitive - these are very big horns - I believe 38" diameter. They are also pretty heavy (unlike the oris horns which are amazingly light). Perhaps you can get in touch with crate and freight - I'll be happy to accommodate in any way I can.
  13. depending on what one is offering - I may consider trades
  14. Thanks Joe/Rudy. Joe - the drivers are not included. I thought about holding on to them for sake of using them in another DIY configuration (bedroom monitors) down the line - but who knows when I will start a project like that. I can include the drivers for another $SOLD (but I will not sell the drivers without first selling the horns). I also have Fostex T90A tweeters if someone was interested for $SOLD (again - only for sale if the horns sell). That's $SOLD for the horns + Tangband W8-1772 drivers + Fostex T90A tweeters - just add bassbins and you got yourself one heck of a pair of speakers.
  15. Hey Joe. Yes, I was using the Marchand XM-9 in the system above. The Azuras are alot heavier than the Oris. I am currently using a tangband w8-1772 driver with them. Thanks, D
  16. See picture below. FYI - Those are JBL18" drivers below - they are not for sale (if the horns sell, JBLs will be going to my brother).
  17. Bruce, These are for 8" drivers - just like the Oris horns. I'll try and attach a picture in a few.
  18. Liquidating my Azura horns - to my ears, using same drivers, they sound no different than the Oris horns, which I too own. I'd like $SOLD for them. I'm dismantling my second system and thus have no use for them. I cannot imagine anyone getting better sound than these for $600. Let me know if you are interested.
  19. They certainly do - large JBL studio monitors are very sought after. If Blair would consider shipping to Asia, these would not last 1 hour at that price. Klipsch vs. JBL (having owned both, from Heresys-->Cornwall-->La Scala---Khorn-->to fully modified Khorns--JBL 4345 Studio Monitors). I would say Klipsch are a better "value" I would say JBLs sound better (by a small margin). For example, in my opinion, the Klipsch Cornwalls on a scale from 1-100 would be 90 and can be had for $700 in the used market. And the JBL Studio Monitors on a scale to 1-100 would be 95, and would cost $5,000+. As far are build quality, I think there is no comparison - the JBLs out right smash Klipsch. Every driver, every horn, every cabinet is so well built that it truly is unbelievable. I have built quite a few speakers, and have modified quite a few Klipsch and JBL - IMO, there is just no comparison between the two. That being said,I just don't know how Klipsch sound as good as they do - they may not have as well built cabinets, drivers, or horns, as the JBLs - but they are so darn close in terms of sound quality - that I just don't know how they do it. IMHO, Klipsch may be the best value in audio. Just my 2 cents -(hopefully the post above is not offensive to fellow forum members).
