  1. Just got my 13ultra. The finish is beautiful. I'm having issues with my Denon 4308. It's like the Denon is not sending a strong enough signal to the sub. I ran audessy and it barely made any noise. In the manual settings it also hardly rumbles. It should be shaking down the house. I hooked up my old receiver to test the sub to rule out any sub issues. The sub works, my cord is fine, so it has too be the Denon. The SW out plug is not loose so I'm not sure. Everything else on the receiver works fine. I messed with all the settings as well so I'm thinking it's got to be the SW out on the Denon. I guess I need to find a shop that can test it out for me and repair it if need be. A couple pictures...
  2. That thing is beautiful! Congrats[Y]
  3. I agree. I think because they rarely come up I would pay up to $1200 but offer $1000. They are very big but I didn't mind the looks. Even my wife got used to it and ended up liking it...eventually. Go for it!
  4. Is your fat one one of the ones that is able to play sacd?
  5. Thanks for the thread link! Makes me sure that this sub is everything I thought it would be. It also tells me that there is more room in the price. That one sold for $1100, and piano black seems to draw a little more money. Yeah hopefully the person is a little flexible on the price
  6. That's the finish I had. I liked it. Very durable. There's one for sale along with a whole system pretty close to me but the guy won't sell it separately unfortunately. Like you said they rarely show up so I'd make an offer on it if I were you
  7. What finish is the one you're looking at?
  8. Heres one that sold for $1100 on the forums in piano black http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/148511/1532872.aspx
  9. The ones for $500 must have just been the +2. The one I got for $700 had the 1000 watt amp though. Did the +2s come with the 1000w amp or just the ultras? I didn't even realize there was a difference in them until now. Guess I should research a little more next time. Sorry Nuke.
  10. It is an awesome sub. I wish I still had mine. By far the best sub I have owned thus far. That being said I think $1400 is quite a bit high. I bought and sold mine for $700. The wood and piano finish usually go for a little more. A few months ago a guy sold 2 of them at $500 each on Audiogon. I would have bought both but I was too slow. It is probably worth the $$$ but I have never seen a used one go for that much. That is one of the subs I am patiently waiting to see pop up on my local craigslist. I think the most I would offer depending on finish and condition would be 1K.
  11. Sorry, I think I enjoy spending others $$$ better than mine. Bill Yeah me too haha. I just want to have the funds available for when a deal on a SVS comes around. I know it will just be a matter of time. Either the PB-12+2 or the 13ultra. I may even keep the sunfire after I find the SVS for a room system down the road cause it is pretty impressive for such a compact unit.
  12. I think you are right. The TS-EQ12 has a detachable powercord and the sub in the ad photo clearly has a fixed cord. You may just like the sound with two Sunfires in the mix. Bill Believe me that crossed my mind but I can't really afford to keep both right now.
  13. It could be. The other mentioned ad specifies that it is the EQ model which has an onboard equalizer and 12 inch drivers. If you can afford to own both at the same time, just A-B them and sell the one you like least. Worth a shot. Bill I think it's the MKII not the EQ model even though those are the specs he put on the ad. I asked for more pictures but I'm pretty sure it's just the MKII. I did some research and it looks like there were some improvements made to the MKII so it might be worth it. I may do the comparison like you said.
  14. If that changes, you can't blame me later since your initial review was very favorable. Bill It will be all your fault. Haha just kidding. I appreciate your input! Of course today a MKII showed up on craigslist cheaper than I got the original. I got the original for $425 and now there's a MKII for $400. It's funny how a better deal always shows up right after you purchase something. Ah, either way I'm very happy with my purchase. So is it worth getting the MKII and selling mine?
  15. Listened to some music and watched a movie and am pretty impressed with the sub. It is surprisingly loud for how tiny it is. In my small room it is certainly more than enough sub and sounds great with the RF-7IIs. Very happy so far. Thanks again for the input!
  16. Going to pick it up tonight. I'm looking forward to seeing what this little guy can do.
  17. Definitely a thing of beauty! Very nice. Congrats!
  18. I just emailed them and am awaiting a response. I'm tired of being sub-less so I hope this works out. Guess I should of held on to my PB-12+2 and RSW-12. Certainly regret selling those but oh well. Thank you very much for the input. Much appreciated!
  19. Yeah just looking at the specs and some reviews I think it would be sufficient until I can afford the SVS PB-13. The smaller size of it is what's making me hisitant. My room is pretty small though so it might be great for this place. Thanks for the input!
  20. I've been looking for a deal on a SVS sub for a while now and not much has been coming up so I'm looking at other options. This sub has been lurking on Craigslist for a while now. Fairly tight budget right now so this might be the ticket. For those of you who have experience with Sunfire subs please chime in on this. From the ad it looks to be the MK II but it doesn't say...just says MK. I know nothing about these. Anyways it looks like a good sub at a decent price. Thoughts and opinions....Thank you! heres the ad http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/ele/2918702750.html
  21. I know it's not going to even come close to the 2 subs I'm looking for. I owned the PB-12+2 and wow! That thing was awesome. Wish I never sold it. For that price though I am tempted to get it until I find what I'm really looking for. I'm assuming I could get my money back if I wanted to sell it once I found something bigger and better. I was just wondering if it's worth messing with as I have never heard the pb-10.
  22. There's a SVS pb-10 for $200 pretty close to me. What do you guys think? Get it for now until I find a deal on a PB-12+2 or PB-13ultra (what I'm really looking for) or just pass? It was listed at $300 and is now down to $200. Very tempting...
  23. I am using a set of RB-81s as my surrounds withRF-7IIs/RC-64II and am very satisfied. I am very limited on where I can place them and I'm sure they're not in the ideal spot but they still sound great so I'm sure they'd work for you as well.
  24. I just found a pair of 81's for 150.00 and replaced my rb61's in the back as well. I concur with gsxr they sound ALOT fuller in the back as surrounds. I did try them as fronts for a few days and they sounded almost as good as my rf35's up front especially with the rc64. The 81's will do well as fronts until your ready to upgrade and move them to the back. JMO Holy crap I thought I got a great deal at $300. You stole those at $150! Great find
  25. I just picked up a set of RB-81s to use as my surrounds and they sound great. They have a lot more bass than the RB-61s I was using previously. I say go with the 81s
