  1. I got an e-mail from the manufacture and it looks like the red is positive and black is negative and the white is sensor (??????) AL.
  2. Thanks for your follow up. I was hoping to find away to make what I have work. I have a 5 speed 12V DC transformer and would like to use the fan I just bought but need to be clear on how to wire it using 2 wire instead of 3, AL.
  3. I have learn a lot about fans. I bought one from Windy Willy's on Ebay and it sounds like a old car blower motor! I bought a Scythe brand that claims to be very quiet. The model number is SFF21F and specs are........ Oh!! one question I do has is this is a 3 wire motor and I would need to use only 2 of the wires (+& -) positive and negative. I was told the 3rd wire was for feedback to the PC. Could I safly use this with a correct 12V power transformer? I contacted the manufacture and when I said I was not using it for a PC and was using it for home audio he was not very helpful. I heard back from one seller and I was told I could use this using two wires. As I posted this fan was made for a PC and has a red, black, and white wire, any help on wiring, let me know, Thanks! AL. 4. On the pictures, wiil do! Sorry for the long post but getting the 4 back together was a challange, AL.
  5. I have two systems, one up stairs and one down stairs. Up stairs I have 4 Cerwin Vega! H-15's HED and a Pioneer VSX-09TX 5.1 KV-3 and a Velodyne F1500R and down stairs another Pioneer Elite VSX-09TX, KG-5.5 for fronts, KG-2.5 rears, KG-2.2V center, 2 SW-10 (L&R) 1 Velodyne F1800RII. Cerwin Vega! has excellent service. I got mine around the same time as you and had foam suround issues on the 15 in drivers and crossover issues. I tried to buy the parts to fix them and Cerwin Vega! would not sell me parts, instead they told me to send everything but the cabinets. A week later I got a package from Cerwin Vega! of Semi Valley Ca. NO CHARGE! Then I ask them about my foam grills that were falling a part and they sent me 4 new up dated cloth covered grill with the cool metal grill name plates, you guessed it NO CHARGE! When I got mine they were cooked and used in a popular club, abused and fairly new at the time and I had made it clear I was interest in them. I got two right away and kept after the guy who had the other two and would not give them up. Well 5 years later I found the guy again and ask about the other 2 HED's and he said you can have them. They were under his deck outside!! grill missing cones tore up where his kids poked crayons threw the drivers and the wetness on the ground started swelling the sides of the cabnets. I sent all the inside parts to Cerwin Vega! and got all new parts and sent the cabnets to a shop that makes counter tops and went with a real looking Old English Oak Formica laminate. They had the rough spackle finish with round corners from the factory for comercial use. BTW I built matching stands to get them off the floor. I've had them over 25 years, there keepers, pictures opon request, thanks for your post, AL.
  6. I guess the style horn you got would depend on manufacture date and what was in stock at the time. I found a set of K-85-K horns I'm buying from a member for some spares or may build a cabnet and use them in my other system to help my Cerwin Vega! H-15 HED's for better highs, AL.
  7. I stop counting after $3000.00, AL.
  8. This Forum and and Ebay are excellent sources deals, AL.
  9. I'll post a picture when I figure out how to post it on this forum, AL.
  10. I have a set on KG-5.5 towers and they have a pointed fine mesh cover in the middle of the Tractrix horn, do all the K-85-K horns have this fine mesh cover? What is it for? I looking into buying a extra set of K-85-K horns and did not see this cover on them, can I buy this or is this something that Klipsch dropped? AL.
  11. Frzninvt , did some more looking and found it! I had the spare put away so I wouldn't lose it, hummmm, go figure! Thanks for your super follow up! I contacted Dave right after I missplaced it and ask about the newer one like you have and he said the electronics are the same and would work fine. Dave at Velodyne has been great in follow up (like your self) in helping out, he even sent me the correct owner's manual to my F1800RII, AL..
  12. Yes and the F1800R was a tuff find and having a Velodyne F1500 on the upstairs system I knew the F1800RII would hit the notes I was looking for. I have it set up and it sounds great! I now have two Pioneer VSX-09TX units and they are built like a battle tank! Best wishes on you high end system, sounds like your going the right way with it! AL.
  13. You have a great set up! I found out about Klipsch many years ago and have not found any thing close. I'm running a Pioneer Elite VSX-09TX Receiver, pair of KG-5.5 (front), pair of KG-2.5(suround), KG-2.2 (center), pair of SW-10 subwoofers, single Velodyne F1800RII and a Onkyo DV-CP702 6 disc DVD/CD player. I also had to have a pair of KG-1.5 and a pair or KG-.5 as well and a KV-3 and a KV-2. You will find excellent support from Forum members and Klipsch server department, Velodyne is excellent in support as well, enjoy!! AL.
  14. I know this is a Klipsch Forum (I have a Velodyne subwoofer too) and have a question on the remotes. Are all the 5 button remotes the same for Velodyne? I lost my thin 5 button remote and found a member having a wider 5 button with the buttons in a different arragement. I was hoping Velodyne used the same transmitters in there remotes. If any one has a thin gray Velodyne remote for sale let me know. My subwoofer is a F1800R II, Thanks, AL.
  15. I did look that set up and they are not in the best of condition (one blown tweeter) and logs missing, and the cabnet banged up and still wants $150.00 shipped! I e-mail him on relisting them lower and one other question would be......could I switch over all the parts from the KG 2.5 to a KG 2.2V with out any problems? My KG 2.2V was always used long way (log is the same way) and has no damage or scratches on the sides and looks like new! Thanks AL.
  16. I forgot to mention one other center channel I have ...KV-3, AL.
  17. Well, I'm back to the well of education at the Klipsch Form again for guidance. I did get a very nice mint condition KG-2.2V (because I couldn't find a KG-2.5) and it sound okay but I think it has a tone of a small drive and woundering if a KV-4 would do a better job. Has anyone heard a KV-4 with a set of KG-5.5s? Would this be closer them a KG-2.2V? Thanks in advance. I know have a KV-2, RC-35 and a KG-2.2V and now looking in to a KV-4, AL.
  18. Could you see if thye guy still has the KG-5.5s? Thanks! AL.
  19. Jason, super! Let us know how you made out. I did see a set for aroud $100.00 if your deal falls threw, AL.
