  1. Belial- I have an Onkyo TX-8511 Stereo receiver hooked up to Quintets. I get crisp, clear sound. I purchased the Onkyo for there simple, no frills operation. The unit I have, as all Onkyo have, uses a larger motor.

I have my receiver hooked up to my computer, and I play internet jazz thru it with wonderful results. Clean music, commercial free. Hope this helps.

  3. Haven't purchased from them-because of there Yahoo 2 star rating, plus there shipping costs seem to be very high compared with other dealers. In addition I just didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling about the products offered, or the web site in general. (the saying -if it sounds to good.....) let me know what you are buying. cwm1.gif

  4. When I try to connect my computer to my receiver to play internet radio, my receiver (Onkyo TX-8511) makes a loud humming noise. Don't have Aux input on rear of receiver. Where do you suggest I connect to that will stop this humming? (Regular fm,(non-computer) works fine. Bill

  6. FYI- If anyone out there is retired military or in the reserves. You can purchase Klipsch speakers at the AFFES store, from what I can tell they have great prices. They don't carry every model, but the ones they have, seem to have Super prices. Thought you'd like to know. Bill

Also Crutchfield is now selling Denon, in case you didn't want to drive. They are a reliable dealer.

  9. <[bR>Noticed your receiver is a Sony 975-how do you like it?

I am building a complete system, looking at Denon 1801, and NAD T751. Price being the factor. Your ideas, suggestions please. This will go along with my Klipsch SB-2's.

  10. Hi,

I see what you mean, on the savings, just worried that IF,(BIG if), something were to go wrong, can I get the Merchant I bought it thru, on line, to honor the warranty? Its a toss up 548.00 online for the NAD 751

or pay a Dealer, 748.00. Thanks for the input!

  11. Visited the Indy Ovation, on 82nd street today, heard the SB-2. Salesman was a little snooty, but not bad. Price was right in dealer specs, no deal there. Clean nice store.

As many Ovation stores there are in Indy, I'd think you'd find one that would work.

I live in Terre Haute,IN you want a nightmare, come down to Audio Connection for a real weird scene!
