  1. Arky, I am not going to complain since he is hand delivering them to my door. It feels like Christmas as they are in route. Fritz will be here this afternoon with them. Can't wait for "SantaFritz" to arrive. KAK
  2. Dee and Mark...PM Me.... I am interested in the speaker selector and Line Conditioner. We need to find someone else who wants Speakers LOL. KAK
  3. Thought I would bring this thread back to the front. Estimates were they would go for $600 to $700. The "Virgin" heresy's are now sitting at $1000 just an hour before the Auction End. I sure hope a forum member has the high bid and wins these puppies. I was out as soon as I bought SpeakerFritz's 2004 LS1's. 4. SpeakerFritz is delivering the La Scala's tomorrow (it feels like Christmas) They will initially be placed on a hardwood floor in a large room in the corners. My question to forum members is what should I place underneath the speaker...or should I just set them directly on the Hardwood Floor. Your input is appreciated. KAK
  5. So Fritz is delivering them to Indiana and I finally have my La Scala's. Even the wife is happy after she took a long 3 hour listen to my neighbors pair last night. I told her it was only like 25 pairs of shoes...She looked in HER closet, smiled and said "Enjoy". LOL So now the question is (and I need some fast feedback so I can let Mike know is this....Do I keep the AL-4 Set-up or have him retro it back to the AA Set-up. I have only ever listened to AA's...and listen to them quite often so I know I am happy with that sound. Here is the set-up..... Living room is 16 x 30 (HT will be 18 x 40 when finished) with hard wood floors (HT will be carpeted) and 10 foot ceilings in either. The current living room does have a 10 x 16 area rug in the middle and is furnished with plush furniture and there is very little echo. Will be driven by Adcom GFA-5400 Amp. Thanks for your input, Kyle
  6. But only 7 of the speakers are La Scala's...so you have room for more...LOL... BTW...whats the price of Admission for a fellow Hoosier (Butler Grad) KAK
  7. Indy, Is there are 9.2 System in the works......[] KAK
  8. Sorry about taking so long to say...Those are some fantastic looking babies you have sitting their...Apparently there was too much drool in my keyboard and it fried after I looked at the original post. [] KAK
  9. Harry, I am more than familiar with it. But I had already had contact with the seller and can do my homework. It is typically newer accounts that get hit with scamming because the newbies on e-bay do stupid thinks like click on those links in Auctions to "personal wbsites" and ask questions outside of ebay. The other easy tell, is most scammers or account hacks do something stupid like like list 400 High End or rare items, run short 3 day Auctions or have really low, unrealistic BIN prices. If it looks to good to be true...it probably is...this auction didn't look to good to be true...just a FANTASTIC find. Harry does make some good points though as scammers do exist and account hacks are becoming more prevelant. If you are worried that it might be to good to be true...e-mail the seller THROUGH EBAY, make sure the reply comes back throug ebay, and look at the sellers other items, if there are a lot of "great" deals then stay away. KAK
  10. Not that money seems to be a problem, but with the Tax Issues in Marion County, I sure hope that house lies outside of County limits. Of course, mayhe he invited the Governor over for a movie or two, asked him to block the tax bills and said he could play with the toys. I know that kind of "bribe" would work on me. Only one problem I can see with his theatre though...NO KLIPSCH...other than that, I would give it a watch and a listen if I had the chance...and may not leave when its over....LOL. KAK
  11. Anyone here every bought any thing from this guy. My brother lived in Singapore for 6 years ( I visted often) and took trips to Malaysia often. They had some very nice audio equipment. Most of these guys backwords engineered from comparable high-end stuff or knew someone in some factory somewhere that "carried" out a box of this and a box of that and next thing you know...there is a "New Product line" for sale. KAK
  12. hambone The "great" city of Fort Wayne, IN (2 hrs north of Indy). KAK
  13. Buck, I was agreeing with you. The ones that went for 746.00 are no where close to as nice as the Bare Beauties. BTW, was it a forum member who won the "746.00" pair from Canada? KAK
  14. This forum has been great and I love how you all seem to take care of your own. I was reading through the Pilgrimage posts earlier and look forward to coming to one...when I finally have some heritage series. 7 Klipsch Quintets, a 2.1 System for my PC, and Sub-10 make me a rookie...but at least my heart is in the right place...and I have a close friend who is keeping my ears warmed up with his LS1's and HBR's. KAK
  15. So just heard back from the seller when I confirmed dimensions (from klipsh website)...His didn't match stock and when asked, he admitted they were rebuilt and didn't have stock Sub Drivers because he wanted more deeper low end. Talk about being bummed, guess no need to keep up this search. I will keep looking locally (at least within the Midwest). Seems like last summer, every time I turned around, there were 4 or 5 pair either on the Bay or the Gon, and close. Now most of them are on the two coasts. KAK
  16. OK The wife sayd NO RAW CHALLENGED speakers. What wife wants speakers the size of a barcalounger sitting in their house. I am glad she just said yes. I can happily accomodate her desire to have them somewhat match the decor.? EECK, I sound like HGTV. LOL KAK
  17. That said, A pair of 79's in pretty decent shape sold for $305.00 yesterday on Ebay. I think it is a location and shipping thing...but I feel the 84's hold a little bit more lure because they were the last year of the Originals with all wood. MDF may sound better, but I'll take the real thing over a veneer and hard spong any day. KAK
  18. Fritz, I am in northern Indiana. The forum has been helpful in trying to find me a pair, but my wife has one small restriction...NO BLACK SPEAKERS...so the search continues. We will see what kind of info I get from Joe KAK
  19. Joe, Can you send me contact info. Shipping distance is going to be almost identicle to what you mentioned. Western NY to Northern Indiana, but the seller wants the shipping company to do the packaging. This sounds like just what I need. KAK
  20. Does UPS have boxes big enough for the La Scala's. I got the dimensions and weight and sent them off to the Freight Broker that ebay uses. I will wait to see what they say and see if the seller is willing to go to the UPS store and pick up the packaging materials and charge my UPS account. Thanks for the help KAK
  21. Groom, Feel free to joing the "fight" but I agree with Old Buck, these things will easily bring in $600 and could break $800. A pair of 84 HB-WO's pulled in $746.00 and they were not in as good as shape as these. KAK
  22. Found someone willing to move a pair of La Scala's that appear to be in great shape from the photos's but I have to make the shipping arrangements. Does anyone know what the shipping dimensions and weght of a pair of la scala's is? Can I order packaging materials from Klipsch and have them sent to the seller? Any other ideas? All help is appreciated. KAK
  23. Sorry Groom lakes, NO DIBS...Already been talked about another post that started yesterday. Guess you too will have to join the bidding war. KAK
  24. Bonzo, Join the club who is watching these beauties. These Heresy's are already the subject of one post. So feel free and join the bidding war...I was first one in. LOL and hopefully am the last man standing too. Here's the link to the other thread http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/941381.aspx KAK
