It looks like you have to decide between 4ch or stereo outputs(Nomad or the rest) If all your car has is stereo then the pjb and the archos stereo will be all you need. But, if you had a dts 5.1 surround system like ubid has been flushing for a couple of months, then you would be able to use the 4ch out of the Nomad Jukebox. That's if you want 5.1 surround sound in your car? And then just take it in and plug into your Klipch for surround?

Try drivin' them off of the headphone jack on a good receiver or the head jacks on a boom box. Notice a difference in vol? In bass?

If you have a newer soundcard that has a sub out, just leave it active and hook your new sub to it. When you start using "Y" splitters you're doing bad things to your sig quality. ADS2000,?? decoders or receivers with the 5.1 outs?

Would you still buy the cp1 on the basis of sound quality improvements alone? I know, I'm old, and I still like my old pros.

No, you can't blame that on Klipch. I don't have that prob with my Aureal.

If you have Win-dvd or Power-DVD, would you set it up using the 4ch mix-down option(analog) and compare that to AC3 digital pass thru decoded by your Yamaha? Some of these guys don't believe the difference that a digital signal can make in volume and quality of sound.

If you're going to archive your own cds', why waste space on anything less than Monkey's Audio's lossless???

The s/pdif does passthru for DTS and AC3. System sounds, game sound, mp3s', waves, and any other sources, are in stereo. Its a limitation of what Dolby lets us do with the s/pdif. You can use your front and rear miniplugs adapted to 4 rca plugs into the analog inputs on the reciever. It helps if it can be set for 4 ch input as the Panasonic decoder mentioned in earlier post.

Think of it as a statement of quality about Creative's designs.

Search ebay for a zv-dvd, $50, takes the load off the cpu and has s-video and AC3's s/pdif jack.

Use the line out from the computer with lower sound quality into the line in of the set with the pros' attached. Don't divide your signal if you don't have to.

AIW Radeon with the VIA chipset gave me fits till untill I did a cut'n'paste patch on the installation file, with special beta drivers. My biggest bit,ch is the differences in the volumes of cd, tv, and DVD's from the AIW to my mb. I have not been able to get 4ch mix down either. I think the only way to get surround is to use the AIW's AC3 s/pdif or a software decoder.

You don't have to buy the brand-name to get the quality. Some makers use the high quality Trinitron and Diamondtron CRTs. Shamrock comes to mind. I found this monitor years ago and it's still my favorite. http://www.data-tech.co.za/ADI-17X+.htm
