  1. That is too hard to try and diagnose from miles away online and I am very busy with actual "in house" repairs so I can't dedicate too much time. I am sorry.
  2. Sorry, i can offer you repair service for your item, but I can not give you the color coding. I am not affiliated with Klipsch but I have done alot of these repairs.
  3. Okay, well, if you decide to sell then get back to me, I am usually on the market for these.
  4. I will give you $30 a piece for the pods. Did anything happen when the first pod went out? did the plug break? was it a power surge? in order to find out what is wrong it would help to know the circumstances of what was going on when it started acting up. but I may be able to help you.
  5. Let me know if you are looking to sell any of what you have, especially controllers. I buy old controllers and other klipsch parts for repairs etc.
  6. Sorry, the Pop is perfectly normal, although I know how annoying it is, it is normal. I have been thinking about coming up with a way to fix that myself, but I am not in a rush, but I know it can be done fairly easily. But until then, we all have to put up with that annoying pop when we turn our systems on.
  7. yes, it is a pcb mount type, there are only a few differant variations of them that i have scene. but the ones i have are the correct ones. And yes, the entire unit needs to be changed, you can't just change one pin on those.
  8. it sounds like the number 2 pin on the male or female is having issues, if it is the female end which i think it is given what you have said than it can be replaced if you are good at soldering, I can get you the part you need but you do have to be pretty good with a soldering iron. and I would also be interested in buying your old control pod, or even your new. but I buy old klipsch gear if you need to get some money for it.
  9. Yes, they are easily found and easy to change, but 99 out of 100 times when a fuse blows there is no signal running all the way through it meaning that your speaker should be getting no signal at all. So I doubt that is your problem, if you want to trouble shoot that issue, just swap the 2 fuses you have inside the subwoofer and see if the problem changes from the right to the left, if so, then awesome, you got your problem, if not then you know that is not your issue.
  10. Try another control pod, I can get you one as soon as tuesday to your door, I also buy old control pods. so if I were you I would try another control pod, you can buy one direct from klipsch brand new, or one from me brand new, I may even have used ones around but I can't say for sureas of right now, and then if that solves your problem then I will buy your old control pod from you. $10 if you buy from klipsch, and if you buy a pod from me i will give you $13 back. if this does not solve your problem then you have an internal problem and it is not likely just a fuse. you can message me directly with any other questions. I also sell nice premium 16ga speaker wires and I can make them in any length you want.
  11. lol, easy fix, DeOxit! if you still want a new controller though I will buy your old one off you, and i can get you a brand new control pod sent out today with priority mail shipping.
  12. Well, if you know anyone that is good at soldering I have the replacement female end that you need to fix this system which is probably the best solution, otherwise you can also do thing like get rid of the mini din all together and solder a panel mount style standard size din plug in it's place, which I can also help you with for parts, but to send the system out to have this stuff done would not be worth it once you calculate all the shipping in.
  13. Yes, and use Quick Blow fuses, not slow blowing.
  14. Excellent, Thank you very much, I am glad that you guys are happy with my work. Keep Rocking out with those Klipsch Speakers, I love mine so much that I am trying to save up so I can buy a much more powerful system that will undoubtably be powering Klipsch speakers. Thanks again Guys! mr_clean_ct
  15. Well, the first thing I would do is check the power wire for any rips or signs of damage, if none, then open up the back of the unit by removing all the outer skrews (make sure you unplug the unit first and wait a few minutes for it to discharge). and then just start looking for anything that looks like it may be touching something that it shouldn't and look for burned resistors etc. try and sniff around lightly to see if you smell that "burned circuit" smell. there are 2 fuses internally but they are certainly not your problem as they only fuse the output for the 2 speaker channels. but you may have a larger problem, but it may also be something simple. keep me posted.
  16. Well, one way to tell if it is the control pod would be to plug in the sub and turn it on without a control pod attached and see if that blows the fuse, if it does then yes, you will have to go into the sub to see what is going on from there. but if that is the case it does not sound good, hopefully it is the pod but if not you will have to look around to see if there are any wires that are somehow shorting out on each other, and also look for burned sections of circuit board or popped/burned resistors.
  17. Sorry, I do not know of any available, I may have one available in a few weeks, but none as of right now and Klipsch no longer has them.
  18. sorry, one week sooner and i could have helped you, I just sold it though, it was a brand new one too, but I do have a used one coming within a few weeks, so check back with me then and I may be able to help you out. What is wrong with your current control pod?
  19. I have a couple "parts" systems, let me take a look and get back to you on this, i may be able to help.
  20. Yes, that is the correct order and as far as I know it is the same for all promedia 2.1 systems, And I have repaired hundreds of these so far. Good work sharing that information. thanks again.
  21. If that sound card has 1/8" stereo connectors for front, rear and center channels, then yes, it "should" work, if not i can tell you that you can sell the system you have now for more than it will cost you to replace it with a GMX 5.1 system.
  22. Decoderes are few and far between for these, I just saw one sell on Ebay for $200 so I do not know what to tell you there and i have not looked into it much myself, what i did which was much more cost effective was I bought a couple of the Klipsch GMX 5.1 systems and they have the decoder built right into them and accept the Optical digital signal as well as the Digital (RCA) Type connectors and like all Klipsch products, they sound good.
  23. Once again, DeOxit! That is all i am going to say.
  24. Klipsch uses or used to use this company to the last of my knowledge, you can try contacting them. http://www.sybesmas.com/home.html
