  1. you are very welcome, I am glad to see that everything worked out.
  2. Try tracing the connections from the tips of the pins on the connector that plugs into the sub from the tips to the inside of the controller and see if you can find a pin connection for each wire inside the controller, if no then you have a bad connector in which case i can help you out. if the connections are all good then you have a more serious problem which you will need a professional to diagnose which will likely cost around $150
  3. I had mine hooked up through the RCA outputs myself but I upgraded to a surround receiver. my TV does not have a headphone jack on it so I don't know the answer. you should give it more than 2 days to get a response from people here.
  4. Very good, let me know if you don't get the connector quick enough as I have them available as well. you may even be getting the one you are waiting on from my ebay store, lol. mr_clean_ct
  5. either bare wire can be substituted as the black wire, they both share a connection (you can test with voltage meter to confirm). the other bare wire goes to the ground on the outer metal portion (circular) of the DIN connector to complete the ground. With everything done correctly you should be back up and running. If not then you can send me your controller and i will gladly install a new connector for you.
  6. Damn Man, i was really hoping that would have worked. I have had a few people with the same problem in the past but nobody has ever wrote back to help the rest of us figure out how to fix it ourselves.
  7. I placed a bulk order for these fuses and will have them available soon for people, I will likely be selling them to people for $4 for 2 fuses with shipping included. less for larger orders.
  8. This is an Excellent Thread, Keep it going guys! Other people will certainly be looking for this information in the future. This is one of the better Klipsch Forum Threads I have seen. DEC, Let me know how things work out for you. I am crossing my fingers for you.
  9. Do you still need this information? i can help you out if needed.
  10. I am not familair with with Logitech's I used to have a set of them in a 2.1 configuration and the sound was kind plain with extra bass, but i have heard the Gigaworks series speakers and they sound pretty damn good.I would put them up there with Klipsch and Bose. and for the money you can't get much better. I don't use multimedia speakers anymore myself, I have put together a home theater system which sounds better than any of these stand alone speaker setups I have heard and now i recommend other people do that instead. but if you are looking for multimedia standalone speakers then yes, Gigaworks are nice.
  11. I can getyou the wires you need and have them in the mail tomorrow. Email me. damagetone@aim.com
  12. I am sure that if you really wanted to then you would be able to buy a plate amp and a subwoofer and then re-wire the controller to the amp to make it work, but that is alot of work and will also cost more money than I think it is worth, but certainly don't throw those out. I would pay you $50 for the controller and speakers. I don't really have any use for the speakers as I already have many of them, but I am interested in the controller.
  13. if you own a voltage meter then the first step would be to trace all the wires in the control pod's DIN connector and make sure that they allhave connection from the inside ofthe control pod to the pins inside the connector, if any of them are bad than that is the first place you will start. If they are all good then you have a more serious problem and you might be better off selling the system for parts and getting another one. if the DIN needs work then I have a few options for you.
  14. Yes, these are a better plug and will be coming on all new pod orders as far as I know. If not then there will still be people like me out there that can help you out if it should ever break.
  15. Who is Henry and how can I get ahold of him or refer people to him?
  16. I can help help in the near future, but too busy too open up a unit right now to look. Sorry. maybe someone else will chime in soon.
  17. I don't use an ProMedia's anymore, Everything is hooked up throguh my receiver now, I was using them full time for about 2 months though. I recall having to turn the sub almost all the way down for a better cleared sound mix with the sats vers the 1/4 to 1/3 area where I liked it before. (I don't like a lot of bass, I like clarity in a full frequency range.
  18. Those speakers will work well, I found the sound to be a little nicer than the klipsch but the volume levels need to be set higher and the subwoofer turned down lower, I think the impedence is higher than the klipsch speakers so they resist more. But they also look much nicer when you take the grill off with these speakers. If you really want some factory speakers then let me know as I can probably get you 1 shipped for $20.
  19. I certainly would not pay $300 for them. I wouldn't spend much more than $200 personally. And FYI People, if you are running a receiver at home, Check out Definitive Technology Speakers, I just bought a pair of the 1000 for my rear channels and those speakers are amazing! I would put them head to head with my more expensive JBL's and they mop the floor with any Klipsch ProMedia speaker or Quintet. Although when it comes to Home Audio speakers, Klipsch has some damn good ones, but they are not cheap by anymeans.
  20. How does the DIN connector look? does it look strained at all, it might just be the connector, or it can also be something more serious. if that is the case then www.sybesmas.com is who to go to for that, but I can replace then DIN if needed.
  21. I would be glad to give you $25 for the Controller.
  22. Hey CyberCop, I see you are searching the net as well, lol. I am also interested in this controller, So lets talk money and go from there.
