  1. Anyone ever try this for a center? I am moving into a new home and am starting to think about the theater setup. I am currently using a 90" screen with a front projector in my current house. I am using three front Forte IIs. In my new home I am going to use my Khorns for the left and right fronts and am on the lookout for a center to better match. The shorter the center the better because I can buy a larger screen (90-95" is about the limit to what can fit between the top of a forte, cornwall or lascalla and the ceiling. If I could get by with laying a laScalla on it side and angleing it up a bit with out it sounding awfull it would be great. Anyone try this? Anyone willing to lay one down and tell me how bad it sounds? Thanks, Bob
  2. The awnser is simple. A Forte II is the center speaker for you. I replaced an academy with one and never looked back. The cost was only slightly more for a pair of mint Forte IIs than I sold my mint Academy for. If you are worried about the height dont be. I removed the risers from mine and tha screen is perfect height, and I now realize I can put the risers back and still have no trouble with screen height,
  3. I have stumbled onto a pair of Chorus IIs in perfect condition for $600 I own two pairs of Forte IIs and love them. For those that have had or listened in detail to both, is there much to be gained by switching over to the Chorus other than eficiency? Is the sound much diferent? Better or worse? From the specs the Fortes actually go deeper in the bass. How is that possibile? The last thing I need is anouther pair of speakers but these sure seem like a good deal. what would you guys do?
