  1. Don't know if you tried anything yet, but a friend and I went out and got a Rocketfish for his home yesterday. Very simple set up and seemed to work fine. Granted he has a el cheapo Panasonic set up but the Rocketfish worked great. Doesn't give any details as to wattage but it put out plenty of sound for his HT set up. His room is plenty deep, I had to turn down the volume a bit on the rears. One nice thing about it I thought was that it has a 100 ft range. So I think you could use it outside if you wanted for a party. The transmitter is very small and the receiver isn't all that big 6" x 10" maybe. Bestbuy had it for $109 and it has a 30 day trial, so if you don't like it you can take it back. The salesman said he had only one returned so its worth a shot.

  2. LOL! I was just flapping my gums I guesss. Every time I "test" these things they never fail to amaze. I went clockwise hard with the Denon and watched the Carver needles dance. It was a thing of beauty and didn't have to drive to the concert.

I'm thinking I was pushing the amp to hard.....? Not a huge deal, the Fortes live and still breath fire. [6]

  3. I put a inline fuse in my 2 of my Fortes 1's... was it necessary??? I do love these bad boys. I have to admit, tonight I may have turned it up a bit and may have popped one fuse.[A] But boy was it fun to feel the house shake! [:P]

Carver TFM-35 (x2) puts out da poop.

The main reason I put this up is I hear the Klipsch can take it like a champ (W) and I DO believe it.

I was pushing it hard tonight and have 1 amp fuse's in 2 of my Fortes that I updated. I don't normally hit the 200 w range on the Carvers but sometimes ya get an itch. I seen 300 a time or 2.

Anyway, did I "crap" out on the amp (pushed to much)?? It was a riot and have it back up and going at lower volumes[;)]

I do have the utmost respect for Klipsch. Just needed a rafter cleaning[;)]

  4. 86 944S Was a great car and BEAUTIFUL, not quick but fast (147mph). I took it to Manhattan KS to see my brother one weekend. On the way to his house I found a sweet long sweeping turn and went for it (no where near 147), felt like it was on rails. Well....later on when driving around with my brother we came upon that same sweeper. I went into it, not as aggressive, but enough to "feel" it. After all his stories of the Autobahn and going fast when he was stationed in German, He screamed "lookout!!" I lifted off the throttle (wrong move) and on came the lose rearend. Fishtailed 3 times, broke tire bead then rim and on our top we go. We slid upside down and backwards for about 100ft and ended up in a ditch on what was left of the tires. I can still remember the road sliding by and seeing sparks out the windshield. We both walked away with nothing more then sealbelt bruises and glass in our hair. Car was trashed needless to say. OH, And there was nothing there for him to scream "look out" for. I still wake up once in awhile with that in my head.

  5. Heritage are great speakers! Keep an eye on Craig's list and here and you will find what you are looking for. Another thing I love about my Forte's is they are absolutely beautiful looking. Mine are Walnut Oiled (WO) and they got even better after I used Watco rejuvenating oil on them.

Good luck on the search and the new baby![Y]

  6. Can't go wrong with Heritage if you want to go that route. Save some $$. I have 4 Forte 1's a KG 2.2v and a sub-12 hooked to a Denon AVR 3805. 2 channel is great, HT will blow you away. I have about $1500.00 in it all. Need to upgrade to Titanium diaphragms in all 4 and caps in one pair (about $300 more). Only compromise is space.

    Thats my .02 [Y]
