I have some Tinsley Ellis tunes on various Alligator Record compilations, I like his sound. If you are signed to Alligator records, I probably like your music. Glad you enjoyed the show.

I would agree with the esteemed Isaac Asimov's comment regarding the cult of ignorance in America. To support my assertion I offer as proof the Kardashians. A family so loathsome, that the mother prostituted her daughters in exchange for fame & cash. How is it that these vulgar people are held up as cultural icons in our society? They represent everything wrong in our society and have profited handsomely from it.
I read somewhere that Kylie crushed the stock price of Snapchat by posting that she doesn't use the platform anymore and that her 25 million social media followers took note. From what I read Snapchat immediately signed her to a contract to use the Snapchat App.
This brought several thoughts ot the forefront.
1.) How is it possible that 25 million people give a damn about what Kylie says or does? Do they have nothing else in their lives that matters?
2.) The head of Snapchat must need to keep the price of his stock up to keep his lovely wfe, Miranda Kerr, in dresses, as there is no way she would give him the time of day if he wasn't a 14 standing on his wallet.
3.) Was this just a clever ploy by momager Kris Jenner to extort a contract out of Snapchat and add to the clan's growing pile of cash? Is she the smartest person in the room, beating a social platform CEO at his own game all the while exploiting the masses for their own benefit?
It saddens me that I even bothered to post this here and perhaps confirmed my own anti-intellectualism. I think I will go listen to my Klipsch speakers.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, NJ the night President Nixon resigned. It was also the venue where Jackie Robinson made his 1946 debut for the Montreal Royals, the Brooklyn Dodger farm team. Now it is an apartment complex.

An advantage of growing up in NYC, saw my first concert in 1973 when I was 13 years old. James Taylor at Saint John's University, back in the days when your parents would let you walk a mile and a half to and from the concert at night.

Having seen around 600 concerts I have seen my share of "Legends". Les Paul would be right up there, Chuck Berry with Ron Wood was great, Stevie Ray Vaughan double bill with Johnny Winter, Robert Fripp in a tiny venue all were memorable. Stan Getz opening for Benny Goodman at Carnegie Hall was amazing. Leo Kottke depressing the heck out of guitarists for miles around, etc....

In general with Klipsch, bigger is better. It pays to move up the food chain. Once you are in the Forte/Chorus/Cornwall range you will not be wanting for much. Those speakers make me very happy. I agree with JJ, I spent the weekend listening to my Chorus II's and they are awesome speakers.

I own 3 Rotel CDPs, 2 of the 1072 & A 1055 changer. I think they are an excellent value for the money. Pretty sure I bought all 3 used. I also did a side by side comparison of my Oppo 103 vs the 1072 and I thought the Oppo was nearly as good on cds, I gave a slight edge to the Rotel in a less than scientific test. I also own 2 other Rotel Integrated amps and am very happy with their performance over the years. I use a RA-12 Int Amp as my pre in one rig and love the built in DAC. Rotel over delivers for their price point, I am a fan of their products.

I am just bummed that the No BS forum closed before I got to check it out. At the rate I post it would have taken me another 40 years to qualify for the 5,000 post minimum to be allowed to enter.

Thank you Thebes. Yes, mom was a teacher and the nuns had the ruler across the knuckles. At least in High School the Brothers would just punch you.

Not to worry, Thebes. I too purchased a Southern car from the land of Savannah where the car had whiled away the sleepy days drinking sweet tea while overlooking golf courses and the Intracoastal Waterway. It's nights spent safely indoors in a plush garage. Then, it was rudely kicked to the proverbial curb by it's little old lady owner and shipped with great dispatch to the gritty Big Apple. Where for the first time it encountered freezing temperatures, rock salt, snow, potholes and the dreaded FDR. Which as those who have driven it, "The Drive" as it is known here in NYC, is literally a long paved pothole driven by maniacal foks hell bent on their own destruction and that of their cars and well as those belonging to others.
I will have to give credit to the German Engineers who designed my car, it has proven much tougher than I would have thought given it's magnolia scented youth. She is now a grizzled veteran warrior of the wastelands, worthy of casting in the next Mad Max installment. At 17 years of age, She is now a tough old broad. Her body dented and dinged but still attractive. Hopefully your Southern Flower rises to the occasion instead of whining and pining for the days of sauntering over to the 5 pm early bird special at 35 mph.

Boxx was a stable, calming influence here on the Klipsch forums. Judging by the tenor of some of the threads here of late, he is sorely missed.

While I am in agreement with rplace about the importance of NYC in shaping many genres of music, tribute must be paid to both New Orleans as the cradle of jazz and to (edit to Austin) for incredible concentration of live music.

Silversport, I never thought you would let go of your Chorus. I think they are awesome, especially after the Crites upgrades. Someone needs these in their life. GLWTS.
