  2. I have a Yamaha DSP-A1 with the Reference speakers. Now I want to add to this 2 more speakers. Which only function as front effect speakers. The amp gives 2 x 35 watt RMS My question is should I buy the RB-5 or the SB-3 or SB-2 Power wise the SB-2 would be enough but what is the difference in sound. Should I stick to the RB-5 which is also more expensive. Due to the fact that the speaker will be use as an effect speaker I'm rather reluctant to spend a lot of money when I could buy the SB-2 or 3 with the same result.

Sorry maybe I was not clear enough Currently I have on my Yamaha DSP-A1 the following speakers 2 RF-3 1 RC-3 and 2 RS-3 and a subwoofer from Pioneer. Now I want to add 2 extra speakers as front effect speakers. But should I buy the RB-5 or the SB-2 or 3. So the main thing is there a difference in sound between the RB or SB speakers.
  4. Boa12 now you have hurt my feelings as a dutchmen. But who cares if you can't take a joke. What can you do. I'll turn on my set and enjoy my Klipsch. No jokes from Holland. Not even over our Belgium neighbors.

Looking at the back I don't have an understanding of the situation. I believe that the DSP-A1 does not support a rear channel center speaker they do however support two center speakers in front. But I will have a closer look to it and if I find anything new I will come back to you. Question for you did you try to learn the remote control some new commands. It goes every time wrong for me. And the manual is not quit clear on that part either. I think that Yamaha thought we gave them enough quality with the DSP-A1 let's not bother to make a good and easy to read manual.

But in my Teens I really like the sound of them.
  7. I was a Infinity addict I bought my first Infinity speakers (Qb) back in 1978 and the last 4 speakers (studio monitors) in Nov. 2000 Then I decided to upgrade my set with a amplifier from Yamaha the DSP-A1 The Infinity speakers I had could not be used on this amplifier. The Amp had too much power so I looked for new speakers and my mind was made up I had to buy the Infinity Overture 3. The salesperson insisted in showing me the Reference series from Klipsch. Hearing is believing I changed my speakers for the reference series they sound absolutely fabulously. But take your time and listen a lot before you buy perhaps Klipsch has other speakers which are even better for you it is so personal speakers that it is hard to give a sound advice. Take a cd which you know very well and listen this cd over and over on different Klipsch speakers. But the reference series will not disappoint you.
  8. As mentioned earlier I bought Klipsch rf-3 rs-3 rc-3 a yamaha dsp-a1 cd-player tuner cassette recorder and for free I got monster speaker cable and interconnect. As it was an upgrade from a smaller sytem I had some left overs. I bought only a couple of weeks ago 4 Infinity speakers worth 1150,00 guilders. But I had no more use for these speakers, because the old set is falling apart. So I went back to the shop and said I would like to have de mini disk from yamaha as well can we make a swop the speakers for the mini disk without any hesitation the shop owner gave me an almost full refund on the infinity speakers. The minidisk costs 744,00 guilders. I received back for the speakers 1000,00 guilders So that is a good enough reason for me to stay with the normal shop and not going online. By the way what is expensive if I listen to the Klipsch I think that they are not expensive for the quality you get. Normally I would switch on the set put a cd on and do some housekeeping. Nowaday I switch on the set and listen only nothing else.
  9. Buying online don't think so. I bought my Klipsch RF-3 RC-3 and RS-3 in a local shop. It took me almost 3 hours listing to the RF-3 and an Infinity Overture-3. I was a Infinity fan before I bought the RF-3. The seller was even prepared to put both speakers in my house for a week in order to make the right decision. We all know what that is. But would an on-line shop do that? Don't think so. Everybody wants to hear the speakers first before buying. That means 9 out of 10 you would go to a shop and listen. I just bought a complete set containing Yamaha DSP-A1, tuner, cd player, cassetteplayer, minidisk and the speakers RF-3, RC-3 and RS-3. On top of my discount I received all the wiring for free. And they didn't hold back on that. So now you know why I will buy in a shop and not on-line.
  10. The oldies like Queen ELO Genesis and so sometimes let me repeat it SOMETIMES missed a song. But with them at least you could and can exclude that song when you play the cd's. Nowadays if I you would like to exclude the bad songs from todays artists the cd's would be blank. Thank god that my nephews don't play their music at my house. Because they would call me a grumpy old bastard. Their music like hiphop and so would destroy my CD player. The worse pop song I wouldn't know I can't remember the title, why because if I don't like the song I use Fast Forward or Skip.
