  1. Hi Josh, Thank you very much for your enthusiastic review. I'm very glad you like it and I have to say it looks great in its new habitat It is always a pleasure to meet a customer in the flesh, it adds a personal note all the emails can never bring. Of course the fact that we're both Klipsch owners makes it even better :)
  2. I'm glad you enjoyed them, Nico [] and I'm reallyhappy you sold me the drivers all those years ago!
  3. Thank you all for the very nice compliments. I can only say that I'm very happy with them and that I hope to keep them for many years to come. Peter
  4. I have been a member here for a few years and, although I haven't posted much, I've read and learned a lot here. But now it is time to post and show the pair of La Scalas I recently built. Over 2.5 years ago I had the oportunity to buy a set of La Scala drivers, K400's, a set of AA x-overs andSonicap upgrades. In other words, everything except the boxes, so all I had to do was build a pair. As these things tend to go, it took a long time before I finally got to building them, but they're ready now. From: to: An more elaborate report of the building process can be read Here
  5. Thanks for all the answers. This is what I was thinking too. Either that or it is 13uF and 2uF in series resulting in a 1.75 uF cap and consequently a higher cut of frequency. Does anybody know the inductance of the autoformer?
  6. Can someone explain to me how the High Frequency Section of a A Type Crossover is supposed to work? Normally you'd expect each section to connected to the + and - input but here the 2uF tweeter cap is connected to a point after the13uF Midrange cap. I have never seen a schematic like this before and I would love to know the reasoning behind it.
  7. Thanks William, That is exactly the kind information I was looking for. The plan is to try and collect the necessary parts. Limited funds force me to do this on the cheap so it will be a slow and painful proces Peter
  8. Hello to all in the Klipsch community, this is a first post so excuse the probably stupid questions. I have recently heard a pair of La Scalas and was mightily impressed. Klipsch speakers are quite scarce overhere (I am from the Netherlands) but my intention is to collect the neccesary parts and build a pair of CornScala. Browsing ebay and the like I get confused about all the different versions of K33/K55/K77. For instance do both 4 ohm and 8 ohm versions exist? What I am looking for (but haven't found) is an overview of what's what. Does something like this exist? I hope you guys can help me, Peter
