  1. Anyone have this TV, or seen a good demo from a place that calibrates the set? I have a far ride to get to a store that has the ability to demo stuff well. I mean i could go to best buy but I may already have a better idea of the TV without seeing it. Just wondering if it lives up to its hype Thanks JDB
  2. My room is a rectangle, maybe 15 ft by 25 ft or so. What wall should I put my TV on to get the best acoustics? Long or short. Right now I have it on the long wall so the FL, FR and surround speakers are all fairly wide, but am getting a new TV this weekend so would not mind rewiring and moving everything if it would make for a better sounding set up. but I do not want to go though all that moving around if there is no chance it would help. All my wiring is in my walls/floor so I cant really just place the speakers around to see if it changes the sound. Thanks JDB
  3. I use the RS-62, and love them.
  4. I got an RT10 from vanns.com for 799. i could not be happier. it can handle sound below audible levels and fills my room with great sounds. i replaced a sub 12 with it and it was a huge improvement. hope that helps. as for other brand subs, i have not tryed any. jdb
  5. how do the two compare? is the Icon W replacing the Reference Series? what is better for a movie first video game second then music used system? any advice/opinions are welcome. I cant find anywhere that has both to demo.
  6. I am working with a RC-62 and two F2's for the left and right. I however plan to upgrade to RF-82's when i can but they sound fine togeater to me. i would keep the RC-62.
  7. I was replacing my sub 12 with the RT-10d, after some testing i decided not to use them as dual subs. the RT-10d sounds better by its self and the sub 12 really didnt add too it. im new into the world of sound and didnt play much with positioning but thats what i found.
  8. Im the proud new owner of the one from vanns, one of them if they had more then one it has been hooked up since thanks giving and sounds great.

I am replacing my KSW-12 with a RT-10d. I was wondering if it is safe for the speakers to hook them both up at the same time using a splitter. mostly just want to play but dont want to damage anything. thanks. jdb
  11. thanks, so its sounding like the watts only needs to be as high as the RMS not the peek. this is great news. Thanks for the advice. i have a Yamaha 861 puts out 105w/channel so i think i sould be ok but now i know when i upgread to get a bit more power. also i dont really over go over -15Dbs, get too loud. thanks again, jdb
  12. I was reading "a sound investment" http://www.klipsch.com/how-to-buy-audio/details/a-sound-investment.aspx and it stated as follow regarding wattage For example, if a speaker is rated at 75 watts maximum power, then you should buy an amplifier that can deliver at least 75 watts per channel. However, you don't need to limit yourself. You can buy a 100-watt per channel amplifier for a 75-watt speaker because more speaker failure occurs from being under powered rather than over powered. I curently have a RC-62 that has a peak of 600W. now my reciver is not putting out nearly 600W per channel! am i in danger of damaging my tweeter? do i need to run an amp to center channel (and each of the speakers i am planing on soon buying) or did i not understand that correctly? thanks for any help jdb
