  2. why do you want to turn them over? ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  3. Well, after 7 months and I being proud to be the owner of the seemingly only owner of the v2.400 without the scratchy nobs, weak bass, hiss, and sound cutting out. Well my friends, it all hit me at once. My nobs scratch, my crossover in teh sats is making them bottom out, i hear a hiss and my amp is often taking my power down to protect the speakers i presume... I was so depressed when this happened... however, do not fret for me for i will be pounding again when i get my new 5.1's. Till then, no volume changes or extended playing... ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  4. well, i have to buy teh computer from circuit sity, i have had really good luck with Intel, the P4's are very very cheap right now and are supposed to get cheaper. My friend has all AMD computers and they are good, but the Blue Screen of Death pops up just a little too much for me. ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  5. i bought my speakers from Tweeter Home Entertainment... http://www.tweeter.com and with every purchase of a speaker or speaker system... if the company has a new version out or if you want to upgrade with in a year of purchase, you just return your old set and pay the difference for the new set. It totally rocks... i just need to wait till the demand for the 5.1's goes down and get teh store to order one... that way i can do the swap and pay $162.38. and if in a year Klipsch makes a 6.1 or 6.2 (!!!) then i will just do the same thing over again. I did the same thing with my computer... every year i can get an upgrade and just pay the difference. I have gone from 500 MHz to 600 Mhz to 866 Mhz and soon to 2.0 or 2+ Ghz in october... i just had to pay and extra $400, luckily i had the money or i would have a slow computer right now. That is the upgrade thing i was speaking of ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  6. they are out silly! no, seriously... they are out but i heard they were already sold out... sorry for the bittersweet news.. ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/

  9. actually... i read in PC Magazine... on teh airplane so i do not know what issue... They said that USB 2.0 is at 800MBs and the current Firewire is at 400... so USB 2 is twice as fast... but also soon to come out is firewire 2... it is like over a gig a sec.... who knows... well that is what PC Mag said... do not get mad at me if this is wrong... thanks! LoL ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  10. i am sure the USB 2.0 will rock... but i still like the idea of having a sound card to manage teh sound... now, a sound card with USB 2.0 out would be great! ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  11. well, my speaker upgrade expires january 11, 2002 so these guys better be out by then or i am going to have to upgrade to just the 4.1's and not the 5.1's... right now i have the v2.400's.... i have had not a single problem with them. YEAH! ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  12. that would be cool ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  13. that looks different... the remote control and it says midiland on the thing... if they are the same and the price is the same... i will just get the klipsch one... thanks ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  14. yeah... that was supposed to go to the Whats a good DVD-Rom drive for a computer? post.. i had like 10 posts open and i just got confused... sorry, i did mean to reply to this one... ohwell! sorry again! LoL ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  15. they must be better sats... bigger magnet... whatever. the quintet speakers are REALLY heavy... it is like they are filled with lead. i wonder what is behind the weight change... how big of a change is it? ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  16. the corner worked best for me. teh only problem was that i needed 10 feet more cable to my rear speaker so now it sits on my wall... still works great... when the new 5.1 is out i am getting that so that i can set it up right... i have a whole bunch of 14 guage wire ready for it! whoo hoo ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  17. i am really glad the rubber feet are built in cause my rubber feet move... i guess the pounding of sound makes the speakers move, anyways, the little rubber things are all out of wack and some are non stickable now... thanks again for the help ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  18. do you know anything about the stands... they are different looking, and will they come off easier? ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  19. what will the new 5.1's look like? i have the pic on my desktop wallpaper but i can tell if it looks different... the specs say FINISHES: Gunmetal grey on satellites, matte black on subwoofer on the 5.1's and the 4.1's say just black. will the color be different? it does not look different from the pic... also the stands are different... will they be easier to take off cause i stripped the screws on my v2.400's trying to get teh stand off, also tore something in my arm, could not type for like a week! LoL well thanks again... just getting back into teh BB posting replying mode again ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  20. Hey, does anyone have this? is it good? I am sure it is... is it made by klipsch. does it have modial technology? is it any better than other brands or is there better out there for the same or close to the same price? i have a SB Live MP3+ 5.1 sound card... do i need the tornado for my 5.1 ProMedias when i get them? Cause it has front elft right, rear left right, a midi joystick thing, then an input, another input and then a digital. So, would i do this? Front left right in front left right Rear left right in rear left right Center/Sub in digital and then tell SoundBlaster that it is a 5.1 setup? Or is this card only 5.1 with digital connection? Thanks ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/ This message has been edited by justin_tx_16 on 07-18-2001 at 08:04 AM
  21. I just got back from my cousins house for like 2 weeks and been in teh caymans for two weeks... well my computer just got back and i have hooked my klipsch's back up... any sound from sources other than the klipsch's make me annoyed. i did not remember how good they were. also, i have the newest Media Jukebox and this program just rocks, i have never found a MP3 organizer, player, cd ripper and burner, converter, database program ever. It is like mixing access, excel, Win media player, win amp, real jukebox, win dvd, and adaptec together, fixing all the problems with those programs and making one kick *** program... it is free for 30 days then you pay for faster cd burning and ripping... but for only like 24 bucks you will be very happy. i am, the only other thing besides my intel pocketpc camera, epson perfection scanner and promedia v2.400's (which have NEVER had a problem, no hiss or crackle or bottoming out or overheated amp) that i do not regbret buying. A must see, hear, and buy. man i love my klipsch's... gonna watch MI:2 on them cause i have been on some sony sound studio speakers... 1400 watts like 5 sets of sopeakers and a total of like 15 speakers and 400 watts for the sub... good but not as good as the klipsch to my ears. thank you klipsch for making suck great speakers ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  22. well, i have the Pioneer 16x non front loading DVD and love it. Just go for popular brands at high speeds... non front loading meaning that it does not suck in the cd... which i wish it did cause that is awesome. I am not an expert onteh subject but that is the jist... however there maybe things like ram for it or something i just don't know ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  23. i am still in awe... maybe tommorow when they are released... we can only hope. ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  24. wow, the devon receiver is amazing. that is definately going to be one of my top choices... family is at Disney World right now so they have not gotten back to me. Thanks again ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
  25. Normally when a new product is about to come out, some one has gotten a preview release of it. I can not find a review of the new ProMedia 5.1 system. Thanks for the info! ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
