Gack...I presumed it said LaScala, I now see it says Khorn.
Know then that one (of several) reasons PWK worked on the Jubilee was to raise the crossover point. If you are thinking a 3-way Khorn then I will say nothing more. If you are thinking a 2-way Khorn then from everything I've read, I'd urge you away from that logic. Besides.... if you are thinking 2 way Khorn, the Jubilee bass bin is a significant improvement over the Khorn bass bin....AND is evidently an easier build.
So, give the actual choices instead of my inserted JubeScala... I'd say Jubilee then MWM, all depending on your room needs and ability to spend the real estate for the MWM bass bins (they are huge!)
I'm going to have a drink of Tequila on that one (Quervo Black) LOL. I just may take you up on that offer to stop in, the last time I was in Knoxville was when I was working with Clayton Homes and I think I went to a Vols game, but it was a long weekend and there was To Mas Tequila![+o(]

I have run my stuff (RF 7's) with everything from a small Sansui G5500 to an old Integra pushing 180wpc and never had anything let go.

I would like to see a plan for the MCM's so I can asses the difference in the complexity of the build. I would dress up the MCM's if I were to go that way. I wish there was a place that you could go to and hear everything that Klipsch has to offer.

I'm really getting the itch to do a winter build and I'm not sure which way to go. I'm completing a remodel that will leave me with a wide open living area that is 25 x 30 with vaulted ceilings so space isn't an issue. I would like some opinions from people who have listened to all of the above. I have plans for the Jube's but haven't see any plans for the MCM's. Your input is appreciated!

Hook them both up and enjoy what each one has to offer. I have 5 different receivers and they all have their strong and weak points but I enjoy each one of them.

I am currently running a set up with 2 RP 3's, one on either side of the big screen and it works great.ooo, i thought two as in one above and one below thus solving the question by using both spots lol

I like the top better than the bottom but I really enjoyed having 2 of them, one for each side, and it works great for HT too.

Or what if the pig with lipstick was pissing on the socks worn by a rooster that was down wind?

I'll be down in Beaufort for a fishing trip soon. I may be here, but my mind is still there.

Just picked up another pair of RB 5's for $142.00

OPPO can be picked up right and sounds great!

I'm in the process of raising the ceiling in my home and sometimes it's not as difficult as it may seem. What is the general roof construction in that area of the home? Pitch, run, truss or stick frame?

Besides choosing the best surround mode on your receiver, you may have to crank the center up more than you already have or back off your L&R. I typically run my RF 7's -5 and my RC 7 +5 for most movies.
-
Have you considered selling the one you have and what you would pay for the second one and trying to pick up a better sub that would do the job for the same money invested? There's tons of deals on used gear out there now.

Thanks Again Cecaa , of course could be interesting if Mr Dean-G can give us some other info about , please Dean , can you give us some further infos ?
thank you very much indeed in advance ,
good evening ,
Sergio
Maybe you should send Dean one of them and have him do it and then you will have the correct reference to do the other one. Welcome to the forum.

Cut-Throat, I know you've offered a listening session before but I'm afraid it would be a very expensive trip. Not in the gas money, but in the upgrades I'd want to make after hearing your Khorns.
I understand your thinking on that point. Budman told me I could take a trip and hear all of his horns and I was afraid that I would want to buy all of it. There are those that own big horns and the others like us that will.

When I first played with the one, the difference in the bass was noticible. How's everything on the coast? 15 years in S.C. 8 in Beaufort and missing it right now with the temp. in Ohio sitting at 30 this morning.

That sounds like a keeper! This thread is amusing, but I really don't get this non-universal difference that co-varies -- to a degree -- with gender.- I know women hear the high frequencies more acutely, and may (?) have very slightly more sensitive hearing across the frequency spectrum, but how do we account for women with good hearing who like it good and loud? I was in a studio setting with several women (players and sound mixers), some with amazing hearing, who liked it loud. As I said, my wife likes it loud. While my daughter has occasionally asked me to turn it down, she has also asked me to turn it up.
- If it's social/cultural, and they haven't been to enough concerts, take 'em to some.
- If there is a problem with the look of the equipment, discuss it. My wife thinks the Klipschorns look elegant, less so the Belle .... When our new music room / library / home theater is finished, the Belle will be hidden (flush mounted) behind an acoustically transparent wall fabric, with its own grille cloth removed. When I suggested hiding the Khorns too, she asked me not to. .

If you get it and don't like it I'll give you 26 LOL

I told her I don't give a darn how many shoes or purses she buys, as long as it's her money, and then I said I can't talk right now, there's an auction going off. It's all good, she actually cranks it up herself once in a while.Got rid of the wife 2 years ago, got back into audio about 1 year and 364 days ago. The girlfriend is starting to make comments about my purchases, and I told her I won't make the same mistake twice, but she's hot and I guess I could lock her in the garage.................LMAO
Or you could ask about shoe, cloths and purse purchases, or just say you were thinking about changing hobby's like everyone at work and start going to strip clubs with your friends.
If those don't work, I guess lock her in the garage ? PS.... Don't listen to Terry/ IB , he will get you in trouble for sure !

What model Sansui is that in the pic? I have a 8080 and a G5500, both great pieces
-
That looks almost identical to my TX 890 that I still use and enjoy. Mine has tons of power and has fried a couple speakers in the past. For 20, you got a great deal if it's from the same series.

I have been reading through many of the posts on bi amping, verticle bi amping, and bridging amps and really need some help. I have 3 Carver M200T amps and an Onkyo TX SR 805 and I thought I was going to bridge the Carvers to run as mono's to supply my RF 7's and RC 7 and let the Onkyo take care of the surrounds, but the more I read on the effects of some of the configurations, the more questions I have. My question is simple, I just need help with the answer. Given the equipment I have, what is the best way to configure the pieces to achieve the best results. I had done a simple test at one time when I only had one of the Carvers and bridged the amp to drive one of the RF 7's, while I used the Onkyo to run the other one and didn't seem to experience the horrible results that Dean G and some others had posted regarding a bridged stereo amp. That said, it was a short test and both of the speakers were running which may have just made it more difficult to hear (listening room was very small at the time too). Just looking for some help...........Thanks! BTW, I won't be offended if someone is of the opinion that I need to ditch the Carvers and go down a different path.
