  1. I feel left out with no big horns to show off.......................................YET!

Pete, very nice setup. do you plan on keeping the RF-7 setup when and if you get big ole horns????
What's not showing in the picture is the rest of the surround set up and I'm going to keep that mainly dedicated to home theater and run a completely seperate 2 or 2.1 audio only set up. I have towers (Klipsch of course) set up for the side surrounds and rears and for action movies or music dvd's I can't ask for more. There are some really wonderful set ups that are posted on this thread. Can't wait to hear your gear!

Thanks for the info. It looks like I'm going to have to ship the equipment if I don't find someone here soon

  3. I've run them really cranking with a TX SR 805 and never had a problem and the used the pre outs to run them throgh some M200T Carvers run 1 per speaker and though they sould great through the Onkyo, the difference in the bass with the carvers is quite noticible. If you run a strong sub with the 7's, you won't notice near the difference and I would strongly recommend matching them with a RSW 15, it really sounds great.

  4. Thanks for the insight Frank. I've sent an initial e-mail and waiting for a response.

No problem. I hope it works out. Let us know either way. I still would like to find someone to do some work in the area. I reallydon't like the idea of shipping my stereo gear around.

    Take care,

    Frank W.

Still haven't gotten any response to my e-mail so I'm still looking too. I have a guy that produces some radio spots for me that has done quite a bit of studio engineering and he's trying to find someone too. There's a guy on e-bay that says he specializes in Sansui, but once again, you have to take the chance with shipping. I'll let you know if I find someone Frank.

  5. I own a Velodyne and have auditioned SVS and Def Tech's but I really love my RSW 15, which could be a bit much for your system and space, but I think the RSW's sound better than the newer RT's IMO and a nice RSW 12 or 10 should sound nice with your towers.

  6. Pete, Khorns and LaScalas here in Indianapolis. Also Jubilees if you really wanna get sick!

I appreciate the offer and I may take you up on that. I was originally planning on coming out for the gathering this Summer, but it didn't work out. If I come out and hear all the gear that you have, I'm going to never finish my remodeling project. LOL
  7. I've looked through some of the archives but haven't found any good build plans for an automatic record cleaning machine. Has anyone here built their own and been happy with the results. I just can't justify spending a ton of money for something that looks pretty straight forward to build. I'm interested in something that's automatic ( regarding turning the LP's by hand). Second question is the correct formula for cleaning solution that will do the job and not damage the LP's.

  8. OK, I'll ask the obvious questions; Why will you be parting with your K Horns and do you know what you will be asking for them? I would also like to know, what your opinion is regarding the differences between the 3 series, as you own and have listened to them, so that makes you much more qualified than me. Thanks for your information and time.
