  1. I purchased a pair of custom built speakers with 4" full-range Fostex drivers(A). They were built with two sets of binding posts to add an external tweeter.

They sound good as-is but when I hook up a sub the highs are a little light. I'm thinking of adding a set of Magnavox horn tweeters(B).

Here is an illustration of my set-up. Is this the correct way to hook them up?

    Thanks for your help.

  2. This particular Magnavox amp has the three speaker terminals: C 1 & 2. Before I started using the amp I've never come across this stereo set-up before. I know the "C" is common the others are L R channels. Here is the way I currently have the speaker cables hooked up. Anybody recommend something different?

    Thanks

  3. I finally had an opportunity to purchase some Cornwall II's on Ebay last week. Luckily they were located within driving distance and was able to pick them up. So far I've listened to Jazz and Buffalo Springfield and was wanting to give my personal opinion on these speakers.

First of all I am driving them with a a McInintosh 75 watt MA6200 solid state integrated amp. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to make them shine. The volume barely goes past the 4-5 mark. More importantly the best thing I discovered was the dynamics, especially with jazz. As you're listening to the subtle strikes on the cymbals and the bass quietly dancing in the background the drummers every increase of volume especially loud accents are really felt in the room. I've honestly thought maybe street sounds or someone outside was making these "thumps" I was hearing, It was that realistic to me. Closing your eyes to these speakers are a real treat. I am now a Klipschonian and happy to be here.

  4. I just picked up a KEF PSW 2150 from a local second hand store today. I'm wanting to hook it up to my computer stereo system which involves an older Pioneer SK-1000TW

receiver. I'm unsure as to how to hook up correctly. The sub has line in left and line in right, High Pass Out L and R. Pioneer has Tape Monitor and Tape Rec. Here are some pics of the back of both units. Thanks

  5. I am definetly buying some Klipsch speakers this weekend. I've only heard the Heresy's with my sub and liked them a lot. I recently came across some Cornwalls for sale for $650.00. I was am real close to buying some Heresy's for 400.00. Is that extra $200 worth it?

    Thanks

  6. I'm looking to audition some Heresy II's this week based on reviews I read online. I own a McIntosh 6200 integrated amp and love vinyl and, from what I've heard, it can be a great marriage.

Here's my question, Everybody is selling the Heresy III's for $799, Amazon is selling new pairs (through Vann's Audio) for $499. What's the catch, sounds to good to be true.

    Thanks,
