  1. I notice when my rf-62's are at low volumes, everything else is over powering the vocals of my music. I feel like I can not hear the lyrics unless I turn up the speakers real loud. I was wondering what frequencies vocals range in, I was going to try to increase the DB's of those frequencies. I am comparing to this w/ listening to music on my laptop, which overall sounds bad, but I can atleast heart the vocals
  2. well wait, at one point I had the tv on a seperate outlet all by itself, and I still had the flickering issue. It seems to be more so w/ the ps3 than anything else. maybe that's the problem... ugh. headaches
  3. I have a tv, receiver, subwoofer, and 3 gaming systems hooked up to a basic line strip now. I notice when I turn on and off lights in other rooms that the tv has a pretty bad flicker. I don't want to ruin my products, is this something a good power center would normally fix?
  4. Wow guys, the rw-12d is a great subwoofer. I also only owned the ps-100 for about 2 weeks until the entertainment center came and it didn't fit where I thought it would. I'm glad though, this klipsch sub is a large step up for both movies and music. Less boomy, and I think a great sub for the money.
  5. So the subwoofer is on my doorstep, and I'll be plugging both subs up as soon as I get home, I will be plugging them both in and out to see which one I like best. If the Paradigm still blows this one out of the water I may have to return it, but I really hope the Klipsch is just as good if not better.
  6. right, would the sound quality be much different? has anyone thouroughly compared the 2
  7. so i would notice a large distance going from the 62's to the 34, or even the 35?
  8. Hey guys, I am just curious what types of differences there are between these series? I was thinking of selling my 62's and getting one of the wf series for the sleeker look.
  9. getting a new sub on tuesday and won't be able to 'toe" in the left speaker as much :-( I'll figure something out.
  10. ok so I toed them in a bit, it does actually sound better. but when I get the new sub it won't be able to be at as sharp of an angle. I will have to toy with it, thanks for the help. is there anything else that could help
  11. receiver is a yamaha v-663 I am not sure of any "balance" control. I can adjust the level in increments of .5 db. ?
  12. speaker wire is correct, and it's on 3 different sources (xbox, zune, and ps3) I'll try to toe in the speakers now.
  13. Ok, so I'm a huge music buff. I'm 19 and have about 600 cd's (no records here... well I do have on in a frame :-) Anyways, as some of you may or may not know, I have 2 RF-62's. They are 10.5 feet apart, and I am my couches ar approx. 10 feet away from the speakers, however depending on which of the 4 seats available the distance can depend. For instance my left speaker right now is probably 10 feet away, but the right is maybe 12.5 - 14. The problem I notice with my music is, even when directly in the middle of both speakers I have a hard time "listening". sometimes I feel like my left speaker is louder than my right speaker, and I've risen the level to te right speaker a bit, but can't seem to get it perfect. And in my current position, it's almost like 80% of what I can hear is from the left speaker. I am going crazy here, it's awful. My speakers are not aimed towards the center of the room, they are aimed straight out into the room. Sorry if this is hard to comprehend, it's also hard to explain.
  14. Klipsch are known for being bright. normally w/ HK's they are pretty nice. Very treble high speakers... sorry. :-(
  15. Hey guys, just thought we could start a forum about the type of music we like to hear on our speakers so we can give others a taste of genres and things of that nature. Diana Krall - Peel Me A Grap Journey - The Journey Manchester Orchestra - I Can Barely Breathe Over It - Think Against The Grain Travis Barker - Crank Dat Soulja Boy (Travis Barker Remix)
  16. oh, perhaps I didn't word this correctly. I am currently running this set up. I used to be right up against the wall, and never heard the rears. Now I really only hear them if it's the only speaker that has sound coming out of it.
  17. I'm ordering one of these today. Price difference is not an issue, and I'm definately not going with any other brand. I planned on doing the 12, but was told a 10 may be quicker. Is this true? Ist there any pros and or cons of doing the 10 over the 12? I'm matching these up w/ rf-62's and rc-52 center. P.S. if anyone if anyone digs indie/alternative music. Check out the new As Cities Burn cd. Pretty good.
  18. and on my last post I mean in wall, not in ceiling. sorry.
  19. Well as far as I know, my def techs are VERY similar to the reference klipsch surround speakers. My wife won't allow the speakers to be anywhere but where they are, so work with me guys. I don't mind selling the current speakers and getting something else. because the speakers are so high above me, would it not make sense to have some type of speaker aimed down at me? does anyone make in ceiling speakers that can be aimed?
  20. alright fellas, thank god my dealer answered his phone and finally picked up the sub. I plugged my paradigm back in, and I'm definately not having second thought on the return of the velodyne, this paradigm is awesome... Now I just need something this good, that's jusr a tad bit smaller.
  21. First of all, this movie was amazing with video quality and sound quality. It does make you think, but WOW what a great ending. This is one of the best Blu Rays to date IMO
  22. well I understand that, but my room doesn't allow for that. The right side is open to the kitchen, and the left side is a sliding glass door and a window.
  23. My dealer told me he'd let me get a full refund on the velodyne.... than he stopped answering emails and calls. so w'ell see.
