  1. Checked into it today....My recommendation the upgrade straight from windows server ....don't do it.... Download to bootable usb flash drive or download iso and make bootable DVD. You can do upgrade or clean install this way

To many error /crashes doing automatic...and NEVER pic express install....we all got 1 year for free upgrade...give it some time

  2. Got a couple of things ....need some space...need $400.00 total to members

Will not ship...Just finished a set of Forte's.

    RS3II's mint vinyl/grills and drivers.

RF35's drivers/grills mint ...vinyl a couple corner splits...you know at the vinyl seams ....nothing that you would not want to show off.

Custom stands for The RS3II's...I'll throw them in

    Thanks,

  3. I agree with everything Jay L says.....I dont think it is going to be 1 box...can be done with 2

    Check out Newegg.com

Small form factor PC...called Shuttle...don't need more then i3 with 4 gigs ram...All said and done for shuttle $500.00

Drive storage check out something called Sans Digital raid storage box....four banger $160 ....five banger $260. This will allow you to expand to at least 12 TBs

1 or 2   4 TB hard drives to start...$150  each

    Windows 7 64 bit operating system $90

Software....there is the cheap (freeware/open source way) or the more expensive way

  4. Price is about right......does any one here know of another set in oiled walnut.....any where..... Got a couple sets near me......one in ebony....going for $1000.00.....another set Chorus 1....were $975.00...just dropped to $875.00.....Three years ago you could get a set for $700.00/$750.00....if you could find them / travel/and acted fast before they were gone.

  5. If I had the room ...the money....the OK from the wife..... and the strength to lift another set of Chorus II's. I would be all over these.

I know I have a grand into mine with the Crites upgrades. Good luck with the sale

  6. Please DO NOT sand them with a sander....go to Home Depot/ Lowe's/ Menard's/ Walmart....which ever is the best for you ....buy 15 minute chemical stripper....Paint scapper( the one I got the blade came down from the handle on a slight angle( Walmart $5.00) got some kind of blue stripping pads with the plastic handle (Walmart $4.00) a couple more blue replacement stripper pads (Guess where...the W store again).. Oh yea rubber gloves...not the doctor kind ...the science class kind...the W store again...cant remember how much??

The stripper pads ...say they will strip all sorts of S... but they will not harm the wood...saw them ...said WTF....worked great.

I put the gloves on my hands ...the stripper on the wood and went to cut the lawn...came back 20 minutes later...scraped the black lacquer off...came off kind of spottie...put some more stripper on .....fired the lawnmower back up...came back 15 minutes later again went over that side again this time using the blue stripper pads in a circular motion....you know what's next...bada bing bada bang...no more black lacquer...one side done... I did this over and over again....till I was done cutting the lawn.....What is it they say about the definition of insanity???...My wife thinks I am

When all done ....next take lacquer thinner and a S... load of paper towels and wipe them off....Ah ...nothing like the smell of lacquer thinner on a hot day cutting the lawn...don't forget the cold beverage of your choice...after having SO much fun I washed them down a damp towel..

Waited 2 days went over them again with 0000 steel wool and some more lacquer thinner....good stuff...the paper towel and the OLD damp towel thing again... Then sanded by hand 220 then 400.... could have been worse...could have just been watching TV.... The worse part for me of course the W store

  7. Yea.....black is definitely out.....so it will be oil or lacquer. I still need to go over them with 0000 steal wool and lacquer thinner 1 more time to get all the black out of grain......then 200....then.....400 grit.....Then finish......should be done in a week or so

  8. So.....here is my dilemma.

Bought a pair of Forte's....finally negotiated the guy down to a good price &375.00 for a pair in black lacquer .The drivers are pristine...the cabinets not so .So I decided to strip and refinish. Was originally going to refinish in black...but I find out that this is a mystery black lacquer only available in Hope Arkansas....some kind a stuff with a # 40 sheen ....I read all the specs and a lot of optional alternatives.. the problem I have is after removing the drivers and stripping....do I really want to cover this beautiful grain. Thought of going with India ink and going back to black ....but I just do not know??

  9. Wow....... I still like my Oppo....... The other thing that blows me away...... Is that a Chinese company that specializes in cell phones has at least for the last 10 years made one of the best players..... If only it still played iso files

  10. Like my 103 and 83 both.... All I can say is if you have the extra money and you watch Blu-ray often go for it. My problem is since I have gone to home theater PC's...... I do not use them much

  11. No offence Nismo..... I guess except for speakers we have different taste. I did read a explanation from the director.... I think on what it is about and has it came to be.... The explanation was... Hot scanty dressed girls that kick ***.....Why didn't you explain that?????
