  1. ... interesting place... I'm going to have something.. kinda similar.. but Not yet. I'll post pics when I got it done.
  2. Yeah. I've played around with my controls quite abit and found that when you have Digital only selected it Shuts off your Front speakers, but keeps the rears going.. Its weird.... And thats exactly what I was going to suggest what it was Glad you got it working ( you learn something new every day )
  3. Yes. I believe it is possible For the sub you will need to get some kind of an addaptor for one of your cables that goes to your computer. Make it into 2 regular speaker wire, ( red and black wire ) 1 set for left, one set for right. Take one set and hook it up into the sub output. Take the speakers hook them up into the speaker outputs. But when doing this make sure that the reciever doesnt put out enough power to blow the satalites. It is kinda risky. Another way is to : Once again get an adaptor but make it for both of the Wires ( the front and Rear wires that go into your computer ) 2 sets of wires for each 1 for left, one for right. Hook up appropriatly. The Front left to Front left The Front right to Front right. The Rear left to REar left. Rear Right to Rear right That should get you all your Hi, Mid and low frequenceys. But once again that is dangerous. I would if I were you keep your Reciever turned low, and make a sign or something saying "DONT TURN UP OR I KICK YOUR ***!" Because if you have lets say 60 watts coming out of you reciever per channel. And that tured up. Then you have your Promedias turned up... Thats ALOT more power than these things are designed to handle. So this way you can, Keep the Pro Medias turned down (actualy now that I think about it.. this is the better way.. ) And just make sure you dont turn your reciever up to loud. Hope this helps Every one correct me if I am wrong.
  4. wow.. this is some good stuff.. I just got my Pro Media 4.1's .. returned my v2 400's and got them replaced. I am much happier now. I am going to attempt at some point to get these in a BIG place to see how they sound. but I can totaly believe what Swerv is saying about it filling a room.. I expect no less. ** question : Will it hurt to have other speakers hooked up? Like I have 2 Fishers hooked up to my front channel They are Impedance of 8 ohms Imput power of MAX 100 watts. On the rear I have 2 fisher surround 8 ohms Imput max of 60 watts. thats all thanks
  5. so.. your rear speakers are at more risk of being hurt when you have your system at full blast listening to Limp Bizkit? Amy told me awhile back that the sytem should be quite alright, even at full blast... but to keep my computer settings down some just incase.
  6. Alright here is my first thing Pro Media 2.1 will cost you about $200 after tax. If you can find it a V2 400 will cost you $250. If you have a 4.1 buy a V2 400 instead of the 2.1. its 50 dollers more, for over 2 times the preformance. If you have a V2 400, just buy a 4.1 or another V2 400 instead of the 2.1 The extra 50 dollers it would cost to get the v2 400's instead of the 2.1's brings me ot my next point. I would go with the Philips, unless you are going to use those USB ports and stuff on the X Gamer. If you get a good convirter the RCA conversion shouldnt effect sound quality. Conclusion : buy a v2 400 set instead of the 2.1 if you can find one.. or get the 4.1.. its 50 or 100 dollers difference and you'll be alot more happier. And buy the Cheaper card ( which is still good ) to compinsate. Hope I could help ** everyone ** feel free to correct me if I am wrong.. i am just an ignorant 16 year old.
  7. Move? how close are you sitting to your speakers? Try keeping your speaker atleast 3 feet from you... Make sure no matter where you are ( your usual spots ) that you have atleast 1 of them pointing at you. and your sub as close as possible about 1 foot above the ground. I hope that helps.
  8. I'm talkig about the comperable Paradigm Reference. THANKS BOB!
