  1. hey guys. i am buying a ht setup very soon. actually i have already ordered my rf-83's, rc-64 and 2 of the thx ultra 2 subs (i work for a klipsch dealer) and i was all exited about getting them, until just today i realized i could get the whole thx ultra 2 setup for about the same price. i have heard half of the thx system (front L+R+subs) and i really liked it. the only other thing to compare to the 83's and 64 to are the rf-82's and rc-52 wich i have heard, and liked also. now i know that the RF setup is way better for music, but in all of your opinions, wich would you take? and wich do u feel is better for prob 70 percent movies and 30 percent music? thanks

  2. what would go better with a pair of rf-83's and an rc-64 center.......(2) kw-120 thx's or just say 3 or 4 RW-10d's placed in all 4 corners of my room or 2 rw-10d's and 2 rw-12d's(something like that) or how about (2) RSW-10d's ? what do u guys think?

  3. i was wondering what back surrounds to put with my 83's and 64? would my current rsx-3's be ok? or how about the rsx-5's? will i even tell the diff between the two? i would prefer not to step up to a bookshelf like the rb-61 or 81 because i have real nice stands for the rsx's and i like there small size. but if it would be a huge diffrence i would mabey upgrade, what do u guys think? also has anyone heard the rs-62's? if so what do u think? how bout those as my sides? anything would be helpful thanks

  4. if money allows you could step up to the rc-62, but i think youll be just fine. plus if you run a setup mic it will adjust everything so that one will not overpower the other. does your receiver have the auto setup?

  5. hey guys i have another Q about surrounds. i just bought a pair of RF-83's and an RC-64 so i was wondering wich surrounds to go with or what people typicly pair with these? obviously for the side surrounds the rs-62's would be the perfect match, but what about backs? would a pair of rsx-3's be ok? or would they just get overshadowed by the bigger others? any help would be great

  6. lol, ya that would prob work best. i have done some comparison between the rw-10d rt-12d and the kw-120 thx......i liked the kw the best plus you get 2 of them also. but for the money would i be better off placing 4 rw-10d's around my place? but mainly im looking for others opinion on the thx kw subs, i think those will be the ones ill get. anyone have them or demoed them?

  7. i have an rw-10d right now. i am upgrading to something else but i can tell you that this sub is very good. for movies it rocks, itll scare the sh*t out of you during parts. for music its just ok in my opinion. but def a good woofer.......and 2 is even better, lol

  8. for subs there are klipsch, and all of thier companys, jamo,kef.......also earthquake, bay audio, monitor audio, jl audio. as for receiver the choices are onkyo, integra, mcintosh(expensive) yamaha earthquake ect. i was thinking of getting either the onkyo tx-nr3007 or integra dtr-80.1 and as for a seperate to add ill have to go on you guys opinion. is there a good 3 channel amp that will power my fronts real well for under a grand or so?

  9. hey guys ive been reading this forum alot lately since ive ordered my ht setup. now that im a user i have a few Q's about the stuff ive ordered......i purchased the RF-83's, and an RC-64 id like to know wich subwoofer(s) would be best to pair with these two? i work at an audio store so i do get a great discount so money wont be a prob. ive heard the RT-12d and the KW-120 thx subs.....i liked the thx over the rt-12. Any other suggestions? also im going with either the onkyo tx-nr3007 or integra dtr-80.1 for a receiver. will that be enough power? or should i get a seperate 2 or 3 channel amp for the fronts? any input would be great.
