  1. Thank you, already done that and ears not being what they used to be it's still hard to decipher.
  2. My center is crackling only at high listening levels. Through listening I can't determine if the short is from the tweeter, mid or both? Can a resistance reading on the horns determine whether or not a diapram is cracked?
  3. I am not nterested in spoofing/flashing a new drive for playing bootleg copies, I just want to replace a broken BenQ VAD6038 with a newly purchased BenQ VAD6038 drive. Can anyone help? There are all kinds of instructions on the web, but nothing concise for what I want to do. In summary, if I understand the process, I just need to take the key from the old drive and put it on the new drive, sounds simple but I am confused. I do not want to buy any special connectivity kits or extra chipsets. Apparantly there is a way to connect the old xbox dvd drive to your desktop, extract the dvd key and save it to the pc hard drive (With jungleflasher and firmware?), then connect the new dvd drive to your pc and transfer the key from the saved file on the pc hard drive? Sounds simple but I do not know exactly how to do it? Thank you.
  4. As far as bang for the buck, you will not do much better than the Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K. I bought and still have the same version you are looking at in 2004 (Thus, model VSX-1014) and have no regrets. As far as performance,a $100 or $200 more expensive amp won't get you anything above the amp you are looking at. I think you need to get into the $1,000(s) category amp to hear any differences. FYI, the only reason I will upgrade is when I require different types and/or more inputs/outputs than I already have.
