The speakers are designed to be grounded to the floor. There is zero benefit to raising them. In fact, detrimental to sound quality. Why would you want to molest the crossovers on a Cornwall IV?

the Heresy has been in production for far longer than the Forte .
True. Is there a reason you pointed that out?

I was intrigued to see this post because it is directly related to the reason I joined this forum.
I noticed that the Heritage Forte speakers are very similar in appearance to the Chorus II speakers, so I had been wondering if the Forte was the extension of the Chorus line.
The Chorus when introduced replaced the Cornwall II. The forte introduced in 1985, was the little brother to the Chorus. The forte is the bestselling Klipsch model ever in terms of units sold. The Chorus line was never brought back when discontinued in 1996 along with the forte II. The reason being the Cornwall III & IV.

Well, we have been removed from FB for our HONEST opinions and some funny memes. Never harmed anyone and nothing ever 'out of line'. Opposing opinion that Zuckerberg doesn't approve of so he'll just show us what for. Sensor and removal. We do not miss it except those that use that market place...... We're outdoors types any way I guess😄 Curious how much?
Seller was asking $1,500, but no longer available. Sold or removed. Chorus 1's with a matching Academy center channel was included.

Glad you are happy. After owning forte II for 30 years, I upgraded to IV's about a year and a half ago. They are a wonderful speaker.

No Affiliation. A little rough but would be good for a garage setup, etc.

No Affiliation could be a scam, maybe not. Pack "heat" just in case. 🤣😂

Thanks for the reply. I hope you're right. I'll give them a bit of time.
In the meantime, do you have yours raised off the ground or flat on the floor? I raised my IIIs about 8 inches (on solid blocks, no open space beneath). I preferred them up like that, but I'm wondering if the IVs would sound better on the floor. (I know, I know ... try and see for myself. I just like hearing about other people's experiences.)
I keep directly on a carpet floor with no toe-in. Straight out in my listening environment. It has been my experience that raising off the floor more often than not, lowers the bass output and mids, due to decoupling from the floor. If you take a look at my profile, I have a photo of my current set-up.

I did not perform the upgrade, but I do own forte IV's. Prior to that I owned forte II. I have heard the III's in a different environment. The most significant difference between the III and IV is the steep slope network. Granted the tweeters and mid drivers are different, it is subtle. I think the networks need some time to burn in properly as well as the diaphragms in the horns. What I noticed most between the III and IV was a larger sweet spot and deeper bass. I would let them run as background music for a few days prior to another critical listening session. I think additional burn in time will provide the results you had hoped for.

You're going to love them! I own a pair in distressed oak with lambswool grills as well. If you are not happy with, PM me and I will pay for shipping to my address. 😂
