When these first came out I believe pricing was about 10K a pair maybe more, maybe slightly less. I would be pissed had I bought a pair anywhere near that price. I purchased my forte IV, 1 month old strait out of the wrapper with boxes, etc. in distressed oak with lambswool grills for $3,500 I then sold my forte II for 1K. Yes, you got the deal of the century!

Fantastic deal! The bass will really fill out after a few hundred hours of use. After owning forte II for 30 years, then buying the forte IV I was very impressed with how much better the IV's are. Enjoy!
