A little surprised to open the Klipsch Forum News and see the virus collapsed on itself. Vaccinated right before my eyes. Seemed nearly half the 244 pages were of a political nature, and many my moderators. Last few comments weren’t much different than 5, 10, 20 pages prior. Oh well, Rona moves with or without the Forum.

Now on another virus related development - even here in the Midwest, meat and grain capital of the country, seems meat shortages are slowly beginning. Costco today no fresh ground beef, no pork of any kind, no whole chicken, limits of one on several fish type products but had whole briskets, bought 2x twenty pounders and pieced them out.
And another shortage - freezers. We have a smaller one that will soon be full so I thought another might be in order. Went to Lowe’s and HD. Lowe’s has been out for weeks and none in sight until late June. Ordered one from Menards for mid May.

I tried to buy a new freezer also because mine is 24 years old.  The appliance dealer I’ve known for 40 years, who belongs to an east coast buyers group, said that freezers are totally nonexistent and that some may start trickling in by summer.

As to the food shortage, I ask that everyone read this paper and draw your own conclusions (it will take 10 minutes).

Please, make any comments general and stay away from politics.  What I want to know is what is being done with the millions of chickens, pigs and cows which are being “depopulated”?  It is beyond my comprehension that food is being thrown away at a time when there isn’t enough to go around.

  2. When I read articles like this the real agenda becomes increasingly clear:

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/25/us/chickens-depopulated-delmarva-plants-delaware-maryland/index.html

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/26/business/tyson-foods-nyt-ad/index.html

Many have advocated that the best way to control the population is through controlled starvation.  When you are standing on line for 8 hours hoping to get enough food to live one more day you are likely to do what you are told to do by the ruling elite.

  3. Around here, most people put their masks and gloves on before leaving home and don’t take them off until they are back inside.  It’s rare to see someone driving without both.

Markets are back to severely limiting purchases of beef, pork and chicken as people are panicking in response to articles like the following which suggest massive food shortages before long.  The Costco, on the rare occasions they have any fresh chicken, limits the purchase to one item per card holder per 24 hours.

I predict NJ will be one of the first states to experience rioting when there is no food to be had.  I still believe that this situation is being created with intent (but I’m just an old, cranky guy who has seen much).

  4. Around here chicken has been very hard to obtain.  Now, people have started hoarding meat in response to predicted shortages as stated by the major companies which control our food supply.  It makes me wonder whether this situation is contrived.  Once people can’t get the food they need for their families we are going to be in big trouble.  I don’t understand why Smithfield, for example, has not provided their healthy workers with full hazmat protection to keep production rolling (of course, they are owned by a Chinese company).  I believe Nestle has predicted a vast meat shortage as well.  What is being done with all the animals which would otherwise be processed?  We already know that dairy farmers are dumping their entire milk yield.

  5. Go on americanradiohistory.com, bring up Popular Electronics magazine, and start reading with the first issue.  You will learn all about circuits, how they work, how to lay out projects, read schematics, and more.  After you have mastered the basics get a copy of Practical Radio Servicing by Marcus and Levy, and read the chapters on power supplies and audio stages to learn how they work.  I used the latter extensively to teach newbies about audio amp building back in the day.

There are too numerous income iniquities in America to roster. Suffice it to say that $billions are spent on topical medical oils and otc joint juice fix-ems. So ‘big’ pharm informing prospective consumers of products which may actually benefit them is pretty tame in my book. But big pharm is most certainly seeking cures which they also charge big $$$ for. Big $$$ is what most people seek. Some sell real estate and make huge $$$$$ for not-a-whole-lot. Others make medicines that actually function. But there’s no conspiracy to cheat Americans from cures in favor of perpetual treatments. Really.

Vioxx and Gardasil, as well as a total liability shield for required vaccines serve as examples of why the pharmaceutical industry is not to be trusted.  Combine that with the revolving door between the FDA and industry execs and you see the concerns many have.

  7. NJ now requires everyone to wear a nose and mouth covering when in stores even if it is of no value for filtering a virus.  I have seen all kinds of creative devices including tee shirt sleeves and pantyhose.  It reminded me of a novel use of a jock strap which I remembered from a Little Rascals episode from when I was a kid.  I will have to give it a try!!!

I guess you guys didn’t read the following study which I posted awhile ago:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31607599

Given the likelihood that influenza vaccine increases susceptibility to Coronavirus it is the last thing a person should do.  Other studies have confirmed this as well, and it has been known for years.

The original St-70 had a resistor between pin 8 and ground. Measuring the voltage across it gave you the same numeric value as the bias setting.

Maybe Maynard could help you figure it out with a couple good pics of an output tube socket and pot area.

Yes, this is a very easy adjustment.  However, the possible exposure to lethal voltages makes doing it unsafe for inexperienced users.

Steroids, when used long term or in high doses, can elevate intraocular pressure (which may increase glaucoma risk), and can cause cataracts.   Do you get your eyes checked regularly?

  11. Here in the US, vaccine manufacturers are protected under a total liability shield which, in my mind, allows them to turn out unsafe and inadequately tested products.   I am confident that the vaccine for this virus will fall under that umbrella as well.  To me, the implications are frightening given the fact that our own leaders consider vaccines “unavoidably unsafe.”  Those who are interested in learning about this very serious issue will find the following article informative :

  12. Fauci sets a real fine example for practicing good hygiene by sucking on the end of his eyeglass temple.  I think we should post this picture in every hospital ICU unit to serve as a model for the rest of us.  I can’t believe CBS news featured it in their article.  An optician friend says that’s nothing compared to what he has seen.......

  13. I have a relative who is hypertensive, diabetic, seriously overweight, has prostate cancer, atrial fibrillation, is on 13 meds, and is an opioid addict.  His 3 young grandkids (age 4,5 and 6) live down the street, and he is with them everyday.   Their dad is a NYPD cop stationed in Manhattan.  My relative and his wife (she is good shape) have no concerns whatsoever!  This seems to be a common theme among many older folks.

Vaccines use non infectious pathogens to cause a body to develop immunity to the real pathogens. Consequently when you are given a vaccination your bodies immune system gets challenged and during some time period after the vaccination your immune system is compromised. It is not unusual for kids to get a fever after an inoculation which reflects their immune systems at work responding to the vaccine. After a short while this response passes, you will have the immunity desired and your systems return to normal.

Given that the immune system becomes far less robust in later years the return to "normal" following introduction of a vaccine can be very prolonged (especially if there are underlying medical issues like diabetes, autoimmune conditions, cancer, or if abundant medications are used) which may explain why the elderly are hit so hard by the current virus.  I would like to see stats on how many of those severely affected by the virus have received annual flu shots vs. those who have not had any.

By the way, do you know the dosage/duration of treatment with Plaquenil when used for this virus?  Given its known toxicity to retinal tissue when used over long periods of time for conditions like RA and Lupus I'll be curious to see if any issues develop if used at extremely high doses to treat the virus.

By the way, are you in the medical field?

I doubt the couples staying home and creating the boom are wearing masks and gloves while doing so.  The possibility that the virus can be spread by semen seems, all but, irrelevant.

“Some of these viruses can even cause mutations in the DNA of sperm, which could then fertilize an egg and pass along the virus-induced mutations to future generations“

This is the concern, not the intimate contact itself.
