  1. You're on...if you don't mind driving the worst part of a trip to New Orleans...Stick out tongue

Actually, Seabrook, but being a Houstonian you know what I mean.

I've '72 vintage 'horns that can be driven by a variety of means including all tube preamp/amp. I think my profile is pretty up to date.

Let me know and we'll work it out.

Cool I appreciate it what does Friday look like for you?

  2. I'm currently researching my 2 channel setup and have the funds and WAF to the pull the trigger. I really love the klipsch heritage line and want to build a good quality 2 channel setup. Would it be possible for me to come demo some of your 2 channel setup's? I'll furnish the poison (beer, wine whisky, cokes etc) if you got the time. Post up if your willing to hang while another heritage lover listens........ to "your babies" :)

    Jerry

  3. Ok I tried to decipher the results the best I could. If anyone posted more than one choice I counted only your 1st choice none of the others. I should have made a poll but when I posted this I didn't realize I could (darn newb's!) Anyway thanks to all that have posted so far below are my rough calcs....

  4. I have received the okay from Amy to offer shirts embroidered with the Klipsch logos. I will not be making a profit on the items I offer. I do have permission to charge for materials and my time. That being said, I would like some input from those of you that may be interested in ordering shirts. If you guys/gals could answer a couple of questions for me I can begin the process of selecting shirts. These questions are important in my decision making process.

Polo shirts are my preference for embroidery/monogramming on shirts. However, most other shirts such as denim shirts or bowling shirts will not be a problem. I WILL NOT offer any embroidery/monogramming on T-shirts, so please DO NOT ask.

    Questions:

    1. What kind of price range would you like to see for the shirts being offered? Please include what you would be willing to pay for the shirt, monogramming/embroidering and shipping in the amount you give.

    25-30

    2. If your expectations were met or exceeded on the price range, how many shirts do you think you would purchase? (This is just for ordering estimation purposes, no one will be held to any quantity stated in this thread.)

    I would order 2-3

    3. Would you prefer a couple of different shirts to choose from? In other words, do you want a less expensive shirt, as well as a higher quality shirt to choose from? Would you like denim and polo shirts to be offered? What is your preference? Feel free to give me a link to a website you may have used for ordering shirts. I will take a look at any suggested sites and take those into consideration when making my final decision.

S/S polo's for me will do

    4. Would you prefer to purchase the shirts yourselves and ship them to me for monogramming/embroidery?

    No

    5. Do you want me to handle all the ordering of the shirts, charge a flat price (extra for larger sizes) and ship the shirts to you "ready to wear"?

    yes

    6. Would you want something included that indicates "members only" status for forum members?

    Yes that would be cool

    7. What colors and sizes would you be interested in?

Tall Sizes PLEASE :) Colors, Black,White, Red

    8. What logo would you like to see on the shirts?

    No preference

I am not making any promises as to whether or not I will take on this task. Your responses to these questions are the beginning of the process. I will allow about two weeks for everyone to respond. At that time I will analyze all the data we collect from your answers and proceed to check out suppliers for the shirts. Please allow me the time necessary to work out the details on this idea.

I really hope you do. The current Klipsch Gear does not have any shirts I like in my size and none are offered in tall sizes.

I am going to post a link to this thread in 2 channel...if any of you think a link to this thread should be posted in another section, please feel free to do so.

  5. I bet you Henderson guy's really pissed off the Ouachita folks. Myself, I was at UofA in the early 80's.

Yes we did! The chicks would always come "scumming" over to us Henderson trash :)

Yes, They'd come to the darkside to let their hair down, so to speak. And if any tell you different, they're lying.

Yeap I had plenty of OBU Ho's :) no offense anyone.

After HSU I went to the UofA, and I'm still in Fayetteville. I love the area, just beautiful, but the demographics are changing quite a bit. Less down to earth folksy feeling and more psuedo yuppie BULL#@$*& from the corporate invasion spurred by Wal-Mart and those sniffing its A$$.

I love that area I had several friends that went to UofA and I hope that is were my son goes. I'm currently transplanted in Texas however I will be moving back to the Natural state this summer and can't wait...no place like home.

Hey rockhound - I am on the SE side near Beltway 8 and Gulf Freeway. I have recently acquired Fortes and you are welcome to come have a listen. I have a pretty good selection of amps; a 2-Watt tube 'Spud', a 3.5-watt SET, a 17-watt push-pull tube (EL84), a 50-watt McIntosh SS and a 250-watt Carver SS. I listen to so some hard rock still (Govt. Mule comes to mind) and I can attest the Fortes can pump it out. My listening room is on the small side, but you will get a taste of their capability. I picked up the Fortes for $350, heckuva deal IMO!

Let me know if you are interested. rtrigler at comcast dot net

  7. Tell me about the first time you ever heard Klipsch heritage speakers. Below is mine....

When I was in college (Henderson Stat University in Arkansas) I had a roommate who was a nephew of the klipsch family. He brought in 2 k-horns with 2 heresy's I don't remember the tuner he had. Anyway I was looking at these big ole things and I was like what the heck is that. He says to me its my uncles speakers! Then he brought in these "little" speakers and I was amazed that he had 4 speakers because at the time all I had was a cheap boombox. Anyway he proceeded to run the wire and get everything hooked up. Threw some Bad Company "Rock Steady" actually into the CD player. He told me to stand right here which I guess was the middle part of the room, lastly he said welcome to the best speaker ever made and he hit the play button and turned the volume dial.....holy shit is all I remember. I had never heard anything like that sound before and I was completly blown away. Needless to say that semester was fun to say the least, sure wish I would have kept in touch with him. Anyway that is how i was introduced to Klipsch and to the cops as we got lots of "disturbing the peace" warnings!!

    Now how were you?

  8. Lots of good suggestions and I was thinking of the cornwall's the K-Horns are a bit out of my budget at the moment. So I guess the question is should I go ahead and pursue some cornies or save a little longer and just get the flagship speaker?

I've been given free reign on what I buy WAF does not play into this decision as this is going in my room 19x21 dimensions. WAF is why I have the YSP 1100 instead of some nice klipsch in the living room.

    What you guys/gals think?

  9. Long time lurker....even longer Klipsch lover although I've never owned any heritage line products now is the time. I listen to all kinds of rock music from classic to modern to heavy. Which heritage speaker is best suited for this style of music? Also if you recommend a speaker please recommend a amp as well. All advice appreciated.
