  1. Thank you very much for your answers! I think that I'm gonna listen carefully to both of them in a few weeks or a month. I knew that Rf-5 use a better compression driver. But I expected to see more difference because the RF-5 cost almost two times more. Mmm, for the money, I don't know if I should really buy the RF-5. I'll see...
  2. They seems to be very equal. But you have to pay so more for the RF-5. Why? I noticed that RF-5 towers have 1 dB/W/m more than RF-3. Is this a very big difference? What should I get while considering the price?
  3. I forgot to give you my email adress: firepinch@hotmail.com
  4. The Ear, And if you compare some Monitor 11 or 90P against Klipsch Reference RF5 or RF7 ??? Many people told me that the Paradigm Reference series are not so more dynamics or agressives than the Monitor 7 or 9. But what about the Monitor 11 (which use 3 bass drivers) or the 90P??? You are a french Québécois. And I'm one me too So can I have your email adress? I would like so much to talk with you more! Thank u
  5. awwww! I dont know why. Here, in this forum section, I dont receive many answers while in the Promedia section, I receive like 10x more answers. grrr why don't you want to answer me? I'm not enough precise?
  6. I want to have them most for music. The Klipsch RF-3 I heard, maybe they were defectives. I just know that I didn't like somthing of them, in the high-ends. The sound seemed to me a little bit to harsh. In overall, I prefered the Monitor9 even if they sounded a little bit nasally. Do you think the Monitor11, 90P, Studio80 can kick more your body? Or they have the same dyanmic than Monitor9?
  7. I'm gonna go short because I did a BIG mistake (put a wrong username) and as a consequence, I should rewrite all my sentences and I don't have the taste to do that! So if you want to know the story, just ask me, I'll feel better later! I have presently a pair of Paradigm Monitor 9. And I want to upgrade 'cause I find them not enough dynamic. I found Klipsch Reference RF-3 sounding "colder" than mine and a little bit harsh, at my Klipsch dealer store. I don't know why, I prefer the sound quality of my Monitor9 for instance even if the RF-3s can break my buddy! Oh damn! While speaking about their aggressiveness (RF-3), I still cannot prevent myself from thinking of them. 1. I just wanna know, for the price (value), speakers dynamic or agressiveness (hit hard), and the sound quality, which one are better. See the list below: -Paradigm Monitor 11 -Paradigm Monitor 90P -Paradigm Reference Studio 80 vs -Klipsch Reference RF-3 -Klipsch Reference RF-5 -Klipsch Reference RF-7 2. If you own one of these, I would like to read your comments. Thank you very much in advance for your answers This message has been edited by fire pinch on 01-03-2002 at 12:54 AM
  8. More i think, more i want to choose Paradigm Monitor9... I find that Paradigm speakers sound much better and have better highs. I really like my Monitor3 (they are bookshelf-speakers). But like i told in my last post, i want a more dynamic sound. Monitor9 are floorstanding i didnt listen to them yet. But i think they can slam better than what i have presently. Maybe i will buy the Paradigm Monitor9 so i will keep my monitor3 as rear speakers... they both have 8 inchs drivers.
  9. Hum... for the bass i dont need the Lengend series i think because i got the bess bang for the buck sub! I brang my sub to the Klipsch store and it blew away all SW lines! This sub is so much spectacular... but it produces a more "boomy like" sound and the sound which come out from it is very deep. I find that my sub doesnt match well with my Paradigm Monitor3. So it's why i need POWERFULL and dynamic loudspeakers like Klipsch Refernce RF-3 which produce a very TIGHT bass. It's what i want. I dont need Legend speakers because i have a very strong sub... and i dont want to pay more than 700-800$ for future mains. This message has been edited by fire pinch on 08-19-2001 at 06:29 PM
  10. oh yeah! All of u seem to tell that klipsch horns produce a pretty good soundstage. But you know, for me, sound quality is more important than soundstage. And you told me that horns are better for realistic sounds like piano, drum? I went to a Klipsch dealer last week and i listened to Klipsch RF-3 towers. Wow! Beautifull sounding! But i dunno... i find that the highs are a little bit too "harsh" to my ears... I own presently a set of Paradigm loudspeakers (Monitor3) and guess what, i brang them with me at the store to make a good comparison between them and the RF3s. I find that my Monitor3 is so much less dynamic but to my ears, they produce a richer (ah... a little bit) sound in many music styles. I was so much impressed by the dyanmic of Klipsch RF-3 that i want absolutely to own them! I tell to myself... maybe, you must break them many days before they begin to sound better... I like techno, dance, rock, punk, ska and i think that RF-3 can be so monstruous in my bedroom. I like their SLAM! SLAM! eheh! I would like to own them one day, but i want to make sure that they can sound as good as my Monitor3 after 1 or 2 months... or even better. So it's why i asked you is the soundstage good with horns? I want quality sound, BASS chest pounding, DYNAMICS, reallistic drum... But i want also a very good soundstage or IMAGING... ! YAYAYA!
  11. Many people say that horn loaded system don't have a good soundstage... is it true? Is the sound directional? I plan to buy a Klipsch Reference RF-3 and i want an outstanding soundstage. Please give me your comments! This message has been edited by fire pinch on 08-14-2001 at 09:36 PM
  12. Hi! All! During this summer I plan to buy Klipsch speakers. Particularly, SB-3 monitors and the matching center and surrounds. But also, for sure, I plan to buy a sub! And I would like to buy a POWERFUL sub but under 1000$. I read about new Klipsch subwoofer lines in this forum. I'm all blend-minded with that new products!! I hope that u know what I mean... so its why I would like that u bring me your advice. Is the new line of subwoofers will bring new bang for the buck subs?? Will I see a new sub who is POWERFUL under 1000$ ???
