  1. Hello arash, Where are you located now? If you're in Iran, the existing modified speakers are much more valuable to you than if you've moved "from Iran" to the US. Your opportunities to get intact La Scalas would be greater in the US. yes... you're a hundred percent right... buy you consider that "there is no other Klipsch speaker ever in Iran" ... My LS and this modified LS which is for my friend are the only Klipsch speakers in Iran (no mention PC speakers and earphone and etc...)... keep this in mind I think it worths for 450$ and cost some money to build new LS boxes and make it alive again... ... you know what, there are a group of DIYers in Iran who love sound... love Lamp Amps... love horny sound... they spend thuasends of $ to earn what they love but none of them has a Klipsch (LS, Klipschorn, Cornwall, belle ...) I just have klipsch ... that's it you can read the weblog of Iranian speaker and sound systems DIYers (translated to Eng. using google)
  2. yeah... I think If there were parts with no boxes then 450$ was a good.... I can use the parts in new Scala boxes which I'm gonna build and use this odd boxes to create somehting else
  3. My opinion would be "what is the value of the drivers/horns on the used market" I'd not reward your friend for butchering the original cabinets unless they were already trashed somehow. Then, it's a question of what's it worth to you. Since you seem inclined to make some LaScala cabinets, I'd suggest that these cabinets are near worthless to you. as I'm from Iran and considering that just there is one pair of scala in Iran which is mine that I almost broke my neck to buy them through India (and this pair my friend changed the boxes) I think its a good opportunity to buy them and make new original boxes to have a new scala.... you're right cabinets are worthless for me but if I manage to make original boxes for the parts that I got them for just 450$ then I Have a pair of scala plus a empty these two empty boxes... Do you think these boxes can be used to make some Bass speaker?
  4. It has alll the parts a scala has except K-400 horn which are replace with a hand-made smaller horn... the parts are as following: 2 X K-33 woofers in good condition 2 X K-55 mid range drivers in good condition 2 X k-77 tweeters in good condition 2 X crossovers (I don't know which model) in good condition 2 X hand-made wooden horn using for mid-range drivers except the hand-made horn the other parts worth 450$... aint it?
  5. what are you saying? virus? what the hell? I'm from Iran (Iranian language is written with same Arabic alphabet) ... what you saw is one of the biggest Iranian Upload center... nothing else i just uploaded photo there
  6. yes you're right... I have myself a pair of Scala... My friend's scala (coronscala) sounds like my own original scala... he wants to sell them for 450 US$... I want to buy them and rebuild scala original boxes... what's your idea?
  7. yeah... so so... like something Bob created the k-400 horn is no longer in the new boxes... instead a smaller one (like cornwalls horn) is placed how much do you think this speaker worths?
  8. as I said my friend has replaced the boxes with new MDF boxes and he prefered to make new boxes like this (not scala original shape)... this used to be a scala but now it more looks like a cornwall... considering this how much? tnx for reply
  9. Hi One of my friends has a pair of scala that the boxes are changed to sth like cornwalls... all the parts are ok and they sound very good like my original scala he wants to sell them... they are 1988 model how much in your opinion they worth? here are the photos: and also he has a pair of Technics SB-M4 speakers 1986 model features link photo: how much this speaker worths? are they good to use beside my own scala? (considering scala bass-shyness)
  10. tnx... I did it another question... will a wooden horn sound like metal one? can I make them myself? any dimension? tnx
  11. Hello everybody [] I managed to buy a couple os La scala speakers but the Boxes were realy decrepit and corners were gone... i decided to rebuilt the boxes... during the operation i put tweeters and woofers and crossovers in a safe place.... horns were dirty I took them and wash them with water and put them in sunshine to dry... someone came and take them away....as they are aluminum so they cost some dollors... what to do now? I'm from Iran and their is no way to buy them online... Can I make them wooden? Have anyone any map or dimension? any help would be appreciated
  12. Holy shit...I almost forgot [] yeah yeah.. you're a hundred percent right U.S recently sanction bill about Iran turned to be something more sinister than it appeared before Iranian governers [] (the more the better) I know the international rules but these speakers have nothing to do with Nuclear I would appericiate if someone could tell me which Klipsch Dealer in mid-east sells Heritage and Scala speakers tnx alot God speed ya!
  13. I think they are one of the best well-cared of La'scala speakers I would pay 1700 $ for them if they could be transfered to IRAN (in any way and by any means necessary) what a pity [] check if there is a way
  14. Your images gave me a good perspective tnx
  15. United ls is better (top section united to bass bin) IMO
  16. Can you recommand me a JBL sub-woofer system which can mate klipsch? i think a 18" Sub is good...what about tha amplification system?
  17. It was realy funny... thanks .... explode... what is the best choice if one wants to make 2 pair of Klipsch floorstanding heritages???? I'm in for a pair of LaScala.... and the other would be Cornwalll or Klipschorm... which one is better? I think Klipschorm is better and more classic but its harder to build the cabinets... if there is a goog exact plan of Klipschorm then i'll prefer it... a pair of LS and a Pair of Klipschorm... what's your idea? []
  18. Arash, The La Scala is one of the classic speakers & it's sound is probably an acquired taste, however I think you'll find it will serve you well. It may need a bit of reinforcement in the bottom end, so a good sub would be handy. If this is your first venture into quality sound speaker systems I think you'll love them. Good luck. tnx alot
  19. hi there I'm going to be a LS owner soon... i have a question... is a pair of Lascala enough to have a good sound performance? i have no idea about acustic-sudio systems but i've heard that LS will give a good performance... what's your idea? is a LS enough for me as a amator or its better to add a Heresy or cornwall? tnx alot
  20. lets forget about my friend's LS... i went to check it... the woofer's diagrams were both damaged (they sound but are damaged) and worth a damn
  21. they are black and i dislike black...black takes no other hue.... but i can manage to take them for 700$ and send it to you if you'd like them for 800$... shipping would be around 110$ to U.S ... just whistle if you want them []
  22. I have a question... please help i wanted to DIY a KS myself... the whole parts from Bob Crities will cost me about 1500$ (shipping included) becasue I'm from Iran. recently i found out that one of my friends used to have a pair of LaScalas but have changed the cabinet so now they look like Cornwall... i can take them for about 800$ so will you sudggest to buy them for 800$ and make cabinets that would cost 150$ (here)? is it better to make cabinet in two parts or united? (i mean the bass bin seprated from the top section or not?) tnx alot dudes
  23. tnx dudes for hellping me but it will cost me 300$ for shipping to Italy and then there is another shipping to Iran and it would be a nightmare... is there any place located in Europe or Asia where i can purchase the parts??? tnx
