So are you saying the terminal end of the mini jack should or should not be mono. I have a mono terminal end and i couldnt get it to work. Secondly does the RCA cable have to be a digital coaxial cable?

Ok so it seems like lots of people are having the same problem as me. I have a SB audigy card and am trying to hook it up digitally to my DD5.1 I had it connected via the aux, but would rather have it connected via the coaxial in. I went out and bought an RCA cable and a phono to mini mono adapter at Radioshack. I got home and connected it all only to find out that it didnt work. I swtiched the soundcard to digital output only. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I just finished hooking up my klipsch with new wire and connectors. They do in fact sound better. The sound is much louder. I had difficulty trying to connect the connectors at first, but figured it out with some help. Make sure that when you connect the wire to the plug to put some tape around the teminals so they wont touch the outside casing. This was the problem i had.

I bought the speaker wire and connectors from Radio Shack. How do you connect them. Opening the connector it looks like i need to put the positive wire on one side and the negative on the other. However, when i tried this it did not work. Does anyone know how to get new wire to work?
