  1. http://www.klipsch.com/products/discontinued/details/promedia-dd-5-1.aspx does anyone know how i can control the DD-5.1 without the remote? if not, where can i find one? thanks!
  2. I was wondering if it was safe placing the SWS sub on top of the 5.1 sub? It seems that the SWS weighs more (FedEx says it weighed in at 33lbs) but the 5.1 sub is wider. I think this question was asked before but I dont remember anyone giving a clear answer and I would also like to hear what one of the mods has to say (since they know of the official specs). Also I noticed the switches on the back panel and was wondering if I needed to change from the defaults so both subs dont cancel each other out. The way I have them now (the SWS on top of the 5.1) it seems as if the SWS is pumping out most of the really noticeable bass while the 5.1 is hardly breaking a sweat...?
  3. I like the clicks, they let me know from across the room (were I can't see the LCD) that I am indeed switching the inputs... I suggest that yeah you should go find another product seeing as your basis for condeming the DD-5.1 is based on something so trivial, obviously you don't deserve a Klipsch product. Oh and good luck finding a receiver of the same quality as the DD-5.1 for the same price
  4. Justin you just made me buy an SWS for my 5.1s you bastard! lol I don't know how I'm going to pay off my credit card now but at least I got free shipping and a shirt
  5. No not on the DD-5.1 on the speakers he means.
  6. No the DD-5.1 doesn't support DPL2, only the original. I'm not sure if it will still work because I tried it on my PS2 with NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 and it didn't do anything when I selected DPL2. I have no idea why Klipsch didn't include support for this popular format in the DD-5.1, maybe to keep the price down?
  7. the DD-5.1 wasn't available when the 5.1s came out, and BTW the DD-5.1 is basically a receiver and that price is low for that kind of audio equipment (although it does have a limited number of inputs and is missing ProLogic 2), other similar products *start* at $250+
  8. I'm looking at mine right now and they seem to be 6 inches long more or less. They look some what like this: http://www.cablesnmor.com/stereo-y.html except instead of the 2x male 3.5mm plugs there are two standard RCA plugs
  9. http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/category.cgi?category=200&item=SP-DCC-2&type=store is that what i think it is?
  10. yeah thanks here too, I was about to post something about this but decided to search first...the ground cheater worked (I had some extra ones lying around for some reason too)
  11. We have the same problem: http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=27199&sessionID={EC1EB651-59F9-4337-B6D6-64AA7B8585C7}
  12. you need this one: http://www.vss-electronics.com/blss-1m.html that one is overpriced tho because it is a Monster cable, you can probably find one cheaper at places like Wal-mart like Justin says (don't go to RadioShack tho they overpriced their toslink cables when I went...the generic non-Monster ones too)
  13. wait ok so i connect the RCA end with the signal to the coaxial in? that is the only connection i have left
  14. Just wondering if there is a cable like this. I want to hook up my sound card via the 1/8" digital out to my DD-5.1 but the only connection I have left is the coaxial in. Is there anyway to connect these two devices this way?
