  1. I would only go tube amps for your two channel stereo and for HT go with the latest and the greatest you can afford . Tube amps will be my next adventure and offer a different pure flaver of sound : )
  2. I agree 100% and well said !! It makes me want to go throw in The Book of Eli : )
  3. Im sure they sound good the way they are the 7's are very effecient and I am also sure they would sound bettter with a seperate amp or amps [] BTW Congrats on your new 7 setup !!!!
  4. This much I do know When I added a xpa-3 to my Paradigm studio 60's and cc-690 center it made a huge difference, My AVR is Pioneer Elite 94 at I believe 140 wpc"btw love this avr" and the xpa is conservatively rated at 200wpc. I dont think the extra 60wpc is the clincher here but my sound stage really opened up and got more low volume detail and was hearing things I didnt hear before . A year or so I had people trying to talk me out of getting a amp and investing elsewhere in my system and stating I wasnt going to notice a difference they meant well but i'll tell you what it made a huge difference and so glad I got one and might even go separates in the near future . Now did it make a difference with my new RF7II's I dont know I havent ran it without the amp but These speakers sound so good with my current setup I cant put it into words !!!! I would highly reccomend a amp either a xpa-2 , xpa-3 or mono blocks upa-1's . Im so glad I didnt listen to the advice of some and did what I wanted to and love the results. Anyway back to the RF7II's Klipsch did a beautiful job with these speakers cosmetically and performance wise and thank you so much Klipsch as I mentioned before its the first speakers i've ever owned I didnt have second thoughts about or the what ifs. These speaker exceeded my expectations by a mile !!
  5. LOL yes i've done the same thing ,got close to the speaker and scanned from the top to the bottom and its a beautiful thing : ) I cant beleive the low volume detail and clarity these speakers possess either . I was concerned because of the high sensitivity and effency of these speakers that they might not like my xpa-3 amp but they love it ! Simply put these are the first speakers i've ever had that I didnt get the what ifs and second thoughts about, im so glad I Bought these and you are so wright 2 channel listening has just gone to a whole new level along with 7.1 and 5.1 blurays . Somebody pinch me I think im in HT Heaven !!! : )
  6. I think the darker cherry like you have looks better and I think they call it medium cherry not light but I could be wrong but I could see why you'd want light cherry so it would match your floors better but as you mentioned its nice to break it up a little and have contrast. For me though i'd have a little to much contrast going on with dark cherry display stand, dark oak GIK elite acoustic panels on the back wall and pine coffee table, kitchen and end tables lol I'd have a rainbow of wood grain/shades going on . So I decided to match the front stage with all black its less distracting to me when viewing movies when its not completely dark in the room but thats just my personal preference. With that being said side by side the cherry is mouth watering drop dead gorgeous compared to the black or not but I love the black to so again with that being said I to admit when I saw your cherry I was jealous, but just for a moment ; ) But yes these RF7II's are performers arent they, they love jazz, rock and even country they played everything outstanding no matter what I threw at them . Tonight I watched parts of Avatar testing out my crossover points and switching from speaker settings from small to large. I still need more time to decide whitch I like better but normaly I always set my speakers to small and let my subs handle everything else and crossover at 80 but with these 4 10's and huge boxes I think it my be a crying shame to not let them flex there muscles but will see I need to test some more blurays to see and get the center as soon as it arrives at my local HT shop so I can test with the full front stage . Hopefully in a couple of weeks i'll have one . I cant beleive how good it sounded without a center it was amazing, I think we have some great speakers and solid performers regardless of the finish of choice enjoy !!! I know I am !!!
  7. The Black sounds better though [] : ) j/k that cherry is beautiful !!! I love it wish I could of went with it but everything I have is piano black or ash black and it blends well but I sure was tempted with cherry and almost changed my mind at the last second lol but glad I didnt . But i'll tell you what that cherry sure looks beautiful with his HT [] Very nice man !!!
  8. Right there, that's my problem with Klipsch. I always want to add and never take away! Excellent review. Thank you. I can see why I know I'll be keeping my RF7'II's for a very long time I've had alot of speakers in my day and none have made me as happy and its the first time I've ever bought speakers and have not had second thoughts. These babies are keepers !!!
  9. Thank you, The Kuro does have great PQ .
  10. Yes the low end is really good on these 7's theres a great balance of highs and lows they really do sound good were there at but I appreciate the suggestions . I previously had Paradigm studio v4 60's for my fronts and a cc-690 for my center I was very happy with them but was board with them after a few years so decided to give Klipsch a try and so glad I did im happier then i've ever been with any speakers before !
  11. My new RF7II's what great speakers TheRC64II is on order and a peak at the rest of my HTIMG].jpg
  12. Thanks !!! that im not sure though i've heard great things about the 63's but never actualy heard them my self but this much I do know the 7's are phenomenal
  13. Thanks : ) One of my boxes had some damage but the speaker and enclosure was unmarked luckily. These 7's are everything I dreamed of and more I think I am a lifer with Klipsch now to it really opened up a new dimension of enjoyment and clarity ! My cat loves jazz he'll just chill and listen for hours but doesnt care much for movies with any LFE lol . Thanks very much for all the kind words and making my RF7II purchace even more enjoyable[]
  14. Congrats and looking that cherry is beautiful !!! I had scarey moment with one of my RF7II boxes but got lucky also not a mark or damage on the speaker box .
  15. Im currenty running 7.1 or 7.2 if you want to include my dual subs less the center channel I will be getting the RC64II center once my dealer gets them in. All my current speakers and gear are in my sig [] Eventualy I will be switching all my rear channel speakers to Klipsch threw out next year or sooner .
  16. No I havent I have them towed in perfect I beleive and they sound great. I was trying to give those huge dual ports in the back some breathing room so there about 20" from the back wall and my center will be on its own stand in front of the display so it will be in line with my fronts at that position . I did switch my speaker inputs to the top set of speaker inputs from the bottom ones I had them on although shouldnt make any difference but thats what they stated in the instructions so I figure since Klipsch has produced such great speakers they must know what there doing : )
  17. Thanks I love these babies !!!! Oh im braking them in gentle ive got nothing but love for them !!!!
  18. I've received my RF7II's today and couldnt be happier ! Thankyou Klipsch for producing such great speakers and im very proud to say im now part of Klipsch owners family : )
  19. Yes I feel very fortunate they mesh well with my current gear and seem to compliment each other im far beyond happy !!!
  20. Thanks Youthman im beyond happy theyve exceeded my expectations . This is the first time i've ever set my fronts to large i've always let my SVS subs do most of the work but it would of been a crying shame to not let the 7's flex there muscles and that they do : ) I've got my crossover on my AVR set to 80 but im still experimenting. Wow im very happy the happiest i've ever been with any speaker upgrade !!! Thank you Klipsch !!!
  21. Thanks[] Yes there pretty heavy and there beautiful speakers I like them just the same grills off and on !
