  1. I did read the comparison, and it helped out a lot! I am going to purchase a pair of rf7s locally, and might consider upgrading the crossovers in the future. I do have to sell one more pair of my rf82 IIs to make way for them, I do really like the brightness of horns and I think I'll stay in the reference series for now, and I'll move to a heritage system when I have another room that my wife is willing to give up
  2. I just may do that. I was debating purchasing a pair of used RF 7s, but I wouldn't mind picking up a pair of RF-7 IIs B stock for not much more. I hate being completely satisfied with my system and still longing to hear different combinations, but I love it at the same time.
  3. Th RC64 would be resting on a TV console, with my TV resting on top of it. That's why I was thinking the longer deeper center.
  4. I am OCD but I also keep the grille's on at all times. The sub's are technically from the previous version of my speakers, but I try harder every day to fight the feeling of compulsion. My wife has been trying to break me haha.
  5. I appreciate all the input. So my system now is TXNR809, an Emotiva XPA 5, RF 82 II fronts and rears, 2 RW12D subs. I would honestly be fine without subs if I had the RF 7 Classics I think, and the RC 64 II would be just for watching movies to get that crunchy good dialogue. I would still use the XPA 5 and would end up with a new processor of some sort. I also want to add a turntable, and I'm thinking my vinyls will sound AMAZING with the RF7's.
  6. I was planning on just having a front stage for now. I wouldn't be running surrounds. I currently have an Onkyo TXNR809 that I may be selling in the package of other speakers if I so choose. I'm thinking I'd purchase either a marantz SR or an Emotiva UMC 200 to replace it if that's the direction I decide to go. You really think the 64 II would sound poor with the older RF7's? Thanks Scrappy!
  7. I'm considering selling my 4 Klipsch RF 82 IIs (used as fronts and surrounds) and my 2 Klipsch RW12-d subwoofers in order to purchase a Klipsch RC64 II and a pair of Klipsch RF 7s. Do any of you think this is a good idea? Or should I stick with what I have? Will I notice much of a difference? Thanks in advance for any advice!
  8. Looks like a pretty great deal, woule love to upgrade from my 4 82IIs!! http://m.ebay.com/itm/261405398102?nav=SEARCH Not affiliated.
  9. I'm leaning toward one of the uturn audio tables, and it looks like they're not shipping until April. I hope it works well. The hard part for me is to nor spend the money for a table on more albums before that.
  10. Again, thanks so much. My vinyls sound better than my CDs/mp3s so I'm really interested in hearing them on a table that actually works.
  11. Well, I have a cartridge, so I'll save money there, but was looking in the $200ish with some wiggle room price range for something that's going to honestly just play without the horrible wobble that the current one I have has.
  12. Thanks guys! I will definitely look into both of those more closely.
  13. I have acquired quite a few (roughly 50) vinyl albums, but the turntable I was gifted is absolutely horrible. It wobbles and the sound quality is terrible. Ive also been gifted a pack of shure bc90 cartridge and needles that ive been told will work fantastically when matched with a quality table. Any input or insight is much appreciated. Thanks! This will be played with an onkyo 809, emotiva XPA5, two RW12Ds, and four RF82 IIs.
  14. Well, I go pick up the speakers tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out how it sounds when I get them hooked up!
  15. I have a mint condition gen 1 XPA 2 for sale. It was purchased November 10, 2012, so 4 years, 2 months warranty left. It has the plastic cover still on the front, comes with both silver and black trims, and two 1 meter emotiva rca cables. Looking to purchase an xpa 5 as an end result. If you have one to trade, let me know. Local to 60098 is very preferred. Thanks!
  16. I have an onkyo txnr809 sending signal to the xpa 2.
  17. My end goal is to have towers all the way around, and I just don't have the space for them to act as surrounds at the moment. Too good a deal to pass up, and I hate the idea of them boxed up.
  18. Or would it be better to run them in parallel with my emotiva xpa 2?
  19. Just curious to see if anyone had used front wide speakers before. I have a 2.2 rf82 II system at the moment, but I'm going to purchase another pair of the same towers. I currently do not have the space to make them surrounds, but wonder what I might gain using them as front wides. Thanks for any input.
  20. Sorry, I post from my galaxy s4 and I had trouble finding it. I guess the same luck I'm having finding this rare center channel. Again, sorry about the multiple threads
  21. I'm looking to purchase your non-version II Klipsch RC64. Let me know what you have, and we can make a deal. Thanks!
