  1. I know, the alberta government smoke pot during most meatings. Im taking the sub back, and I want to know peoples opinions on the Flagship yamaha. (the YST800 er' something) ------------------ Matthew
  2. Come on guys. I think its a great sub. I found out only later after I posted, a possibility of the problem being all my fault. I had to use the HIGH LEVEL INPUTS, to hook it up. I reversed the inputs and outputs around. (By mistake.) I dont think the NUANCE subs are bad. They sound great to me. Now, I dont think they will out do a RSW 10,12,or 15, but their better then polk, cerwin vega, and especialy sony, when it comes to sound quality. The driver is great. Its deep, and hard hitting. Not boomy, and provides a great addition to my system. How loud your bass is isnt everything. I love the construction, and it feels really good. -- People can be so cruel when it comes to audio they dont like! I found the nuance to be great. And I will upgrade to the next model up in a coupla months. Im not trying to say anyhing bad about klipsch. I just perfer my sub, over and KSW subs. Oh ya, I gotta raise. $6.15H. And minimum wage in alberta is 5.90... ------------------ Matthew
  3. I just baught a SHITY SUB a couple of days ago. Most of you are probibly American, so you probibly dont have the speaker company "Nuance." Anyways, their BAD. Anyways, I was showing off my, 200 WATT, 10" Powerd sub. It has great construction, a 10 year warenty, and I could kick a hole in the driver, and the store has to fix it. Enough of that now. My problem, was while I was showing off, it stoped working. I smelled a slight burning noise. Im allmost sure that the FUSE BLEW. Is it easy to replace a fuse? I dont want to take it back to the store. And does this happen to people a lot?? THANX ------------------ Matthew This message has been edited by matthew2 on 11-12-2001 at 05:52 PM
  4. Hi. The klipsch KSW subs are good, but not great. Now I know this is a klipsch site, but I dont like Klipsch subs. I just baught a high end 10 incher, and it is cleaner then the KSW15. The Brand I got wasn't a Klipsch, but it was well worth it. So sad for me, my 10 inch costs the same as a klipsch 15 inch. But oh well, It was well worth it. If you have allready baught the sub, I hope it works out. Just dont blow a fuse like me tonight!! ------------------ Matthew
  5. Im wondering if someone could answer me a question. I was looking at Technics recievers, and the specs were intresting. It stated the freq' responce was " 40HZ - 20KHZ " 40 HZ isnt very low. Im hoping I dont understand something for technics sake. Im no audiofile, but once a guy told me every amp had to go to 20HZ. Is the 40HZ thing just the frequency range they used to measure the THD?? ------------------ Matthew
  6. I started something great.....Wonderfull... A "good for nothing" Topic Thanx for replying! ------------------ Matthew
  7. Hey! Nice stuff, but messy. But I know how it is, not having time to hide all the wires. I wish I could afford that stuff!! ------------------ Matthew

  9. Well, Excluding boomboxes, my first stereo is the one Im using now. Sony MHC-BX5 Mini system. 95wpc, and 3 way bookshelf speakers. Its loud, and hasn't caught fire yet. Im 15, and cant aford anything else riht now...But better then all you old people and your turntables!! ------------------ Matthew
  10. Yeah, I got a good mini system, trust me. I really pissed off the staff at all the stores turning metallica up max, and the system I got was the most inprssive. So what do you mean by "red"? And why wouldn't I be able to max out the volume. Thats what I do now, and a lot of stuff doesn't distort. So would $600 (CDN' dollers); 'speakers not handle it?? That would be a RIP. And can I ever upgrade the power of the mini system, or am I going to just have to start building a component system with a $5.90 H job!!?!? ------------------ Matthew This message has been edited by matthew2 on 06-27-2001 at 01:37 AM
  11. Hey! I gatta a mini system, and i want to buy new speakers!! It puts out 80WPC, and the bookshelves (there pretty good though!!) that came with the stereo aren't what Im looking for anymore. Are the LESS pricey Klipsch shelf speakers going to sound better then what I already have?? BASS!! I have "duel hybrid wofers" and they pack quite a punch for a minisystem. I need to know what kind of advantages there will be to buying high quality bookshelf speakers, or some nice floorstanding speakers. Will a 91DB rating be alot better then what I have? (I cant say for sure what it is, round 88DB) Also, I cant blow the amp or anything, right?? I prob' shouldnt say this, but would Cerwin-vega! E-715's be a good choice for loud music? (LOUD!!) And if so, what about movies!!???? My speakers are loud when I'm puttin 95W into them, there HARSH though. My dads component system only puts out50WPC, but its as louder then myn. The speakers are really efficent. What should I do about myn? I cant aford a whole new system I have: MHC-BX5 95WPC @ 10% THD 80WPC @ 10% THD (I know, weird specs') 50WPC @ 0.07% THD ------------------ Matthew
