Did you not message them first to ask about the "free shipping"? Seems like shipping furniture like that would be a costly adventure I wouldn't want done. It would be like me trying to ship the 6 foot and 4 foot Barzilay cabinets I've had now for about 10 years that were built in the late 60's/Early 70's. I shudder at the thought of shipping these things.
I understand why you would ask this. The answer is more nuanced than I thought when I made my above comment. The seller explained that he does not have an accurate shipping calculator for larger items ( like this ). So he puts it in as zero $ which results in "free shipping" being added to the listing. The details are in his shipping policy ( I failed to read prior to purchase ). To his credit he has agreed to split the shipping with me. He's an honest seller and I am an honest buyer so we worked it out. Going forward I will be more careful about reading all the various details relative to a listing. Long story short I tossed in an additional $ 100.00 as did he and I'll have my unit delivered on Monday.
I'll post some pics for you guys when I get it set up.
avguytx: I want to see pics of your Barzilay cabinets. I am a big fan of Barzilay, I have two of their tables with which I'll never part. Please post some pics!

It looks like he removed the "Free Shipping" in the U.S. while I was checking out. I'm hoping that he / she will honor the listing. There's always a way for things to work out. That type of wall unit does not come available very often and I have a wall in my office that is lonely for it. I plan on putting my Juicy Music Blueberry Xtreme and NOS VRD 45-ST in it. I'll scare up tweets and crossovers if necessary for the speakers.

I always wanted to listen to a 2A3 amp. Your amp is gorgeous and I bet it sounds sweet with La Scala's and the like. It's not the right time for me but I'll bet this fantastic unit does not take long to sell. Good Luck. You're going to make someone happy for certain.

A simple endorsement for LSI's: Mine are my favorite speakers by a looooong shot. My Khorns sit idle because of placement issues. With LSI's you can drag them anywhere including the yard for a party. Further, I would not part with my La Scala's for $ 1000.00. Good luck with your sale Erik but your not going to need it. These will go quick at your very generous price.

I'd love to hear those big Mama Jama's but alas too far far away. Is that a Leben I see there? ** Just read your link. Yes - Leben (s). Simply gorgeous.

I was just in La Crosse this weekend. Should have been scanning CL.......

I've always wanted to demo RF 83's.

I have been very impressed with my Music Hall 25.3 DAC: it is a hybrid design and the tubes add a nice bit of warmth and analog sound to the digital signal. It is a bit above your budget at $595 but I got mine on sale for around $450.
I too have the Music Hall 25.3 DAC and really like it alot. In fact I have two. They can be found used quite reasonably priced.

I have had my Little Smoothies for a couple of weeks now. They rest on shelving holding all of my gear in my shop at work. Not once since I have set these SET mono blocks up have I even considered turning on any other piece of gear. Not once!
Everyone who enters my building whether it's a client, vendor or the UPS man is made to sit in the sweet spot while I demo some expert recordings. Without exception a smile creeps across their face. My only regret is I waited so long to get my hands on these.
Thanks Maynard - your wizardry is a gift.

Dave, although I like you and Thebes, long time forum members, and I enjoy most of your posts, my opinion is that unless a person has a stake in the game (either buying, selling, or competing), then I think you're sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. Don't like the approach? That's not a violation of the TOS, that's an opinion. And local markets? I wouldn't say that Houston, New York, and Washington DC are exactly local to each other. Are you also opposed to someone placing ads in several newspapers? Are you opposed to placing ads here in the garage sale, and also on AudioKarma, on Audiogon, on USAAudiomart?
There is always such a generous spirit on this Klipsch forum when it comes to sharing information and helping members benefit by the wisdom of other members. It just seems out of place and below the dignity of such good people on this forum to interfere with someone trying to make a living.

Why crap on somebody selling their sweat labor trying to make an honest living ?
I was trying to phrase that a bit more delicately.

Thebes commented he would flag the posts because "I don't like (his) approach."
The Craigslist Terms of Service say you can only post in one local market, not several. I am guessing this is why he is flagging the multiple nationwide posts.
CL doesn't have paid staff to review every ad, they ask viewers to flag posts when there is a violation of the TOS. Mr. Thebes is being responsible member of the CL community and has every right to flag a post if he sees fit. It helps to keep a level playing field for everybody.
I am aware of CL's terms of use. My rhetorical comment probably shouldn't have been posed as a question. Perhaps I am less offended by the sellers infraction than others may be. Truth be told I admire the industriousness of the poster and find his offering a bit tempting. Of course as a small business owner I always root for the little guy.

What's the harm in someone selling their wares wherever they choose?

If that $ 50 plus shipping is a serious offer to sell I'll buy it. My son will be going off to college and he'll need something to play his cd's and movies on. PM inbound.

Now this is something you don't see available every day. I wish wish wish but my reach exceeds my grasp. Very good luck to you on your sale! Someone is going to be happy.

And I'll bet you're playing them through those really nice LSI's you acquired not too long ago.....I'm sure they sound great!
Jimjimbo - Abso-Fn-lutely playing them on those LSI's I wish I had two more.

Steely Dan's Aja' is playing on Maynard's Little Smoothies in my shop as I write this post. His reputation is beyond reproach so I needn't gush like a fanboy. For what it is worth the transaction was painless and quick with absolutely ZERO disappointments. The amps are wonderful, the packaging could have survived being catapulted to me, and I feel like I cheated the man after considering how little I paid for this type of happiness.
Cheers to you Maynard and Thank you. Now I continue to listen to Aja'......

Those La Scalas are more than presentable. Very handsome set for somebody.

This is a no brainer purchase for someone building a home theater who is considering a L C R LaScala trio across the front behind a projection screen. Finding a third w/ an AL crossover wouldn't be too difficult I would think.

Really great MCM styling. If they sound anywhere near as fantastic as they look I'd love to have them.
