  1. I have owned my Cornwall II's for 32 years, and I am still amazed at the gorgeous sound they provide for my enjoyment. I have added a Klipsch sub, center channel and surrounds to compliment my audio/video system. I am very interested in this CD. Where can this CD be purchased? Thank You.
  2. Pardon my ignorance, but what is the meaning of being "A-stock, or B-stock"? Thank You. [*-)]
  3. Excuse my multiple replys. The left key stuck on my mouse. [8-|]
  4. I have been following another thread on the forum from a member that is using the high level inputs on the RW-12. I am bewildered on how this works, by wasting one set of speaker outputs on the subwoofer. Did you use the high level inputs or the line level inputs? [*-)]
  5. Carl, I too checked the owners manual for this unit and could not believe my eyes. Unless this unit was a proprietary subwoofer for a complete speaker system that had a designated amplifier system. To use this unit with a normal receiver or amplifier, it would be mandatory for the equipment to be able to feed two sets of speakers at the same time. A large amount of older and newer receivers and amplifiers have feeds for only one set of speakers, McIntosh and Marantz for sure. I understand the owners query. What is he to do? [*-)] [*-)]

  13. Carl, My mother said there would be days like this, but I've always been a slow learner...... rlj
  14. Hello again, As stated earlier, I have replaced the KSW12 with a new SUB12. At this time the repair of the KSW12 is not high on the priority list. It may languish on the shelf for awhile before I take another look at it. When I get a chance to take another look at it, I will take your advise and others and then determine what to finally do with the KSW12. Hopefully your KSW12 will continue to function to your satisfaction. Thank You.
  15. Hello again, To answer your questions, the volume level stayed close to the 11o'clock setting, the Hz stayed in the 75 to 80 range and the phase setting worked better at 0. I would expect the internal components to be arranged in the same order as the ones depicted in your photo's. I was not trying to pry into any repair trade secrets. The discussion at todays roundtable centered on the idea of why waste time and expenditure on repairing a 10 year old amp that has failed and in probability will fail again, if not from same components, or others because of their age. It is looking like the better idea would be to install a new Bash digital hybrid 300 watt amplifier and move on from there. Hopefully your KSW12 will continue to function to your satisfaction. Thank You. [] []
  16. Hello, I do own the same subwoofer as you, but I have recently purchased a Klipsch SUB-12 to replace it. My KSW12 amplifier just gave it up in December. It appears after some preliminary checks that the amp is the cause of the problem. As you know from following the forum, Klipsch subwoofers have a propensity for amp failure. I am trying to gain some data on which components could be causing the failure. It would aid in the diagnostic procedure. Thank You.
  17. I have seen several postings in the last 2 months pertaining to inline fuses for Klipsch speakers. I am the original owner of a pair of wonderful Cornwall II's. I purchased on July of 1982. There have been no modifications to them. I am entertaining the idea of changing the crossovers, using Bob Crites complete boards. I am now using a new Marantz SR4023 receiver, with an amplifier rating of 80 watts, 8 ohms, with 0.08 thd 20hz-20khz. I own several other Yamaha, Marantz and McIntosh receivers and integrated amps with comparable thd specifications, but higher outputs up to 240 watts. As soon as I get them repaired and back up to operating condition, they may be substituted for the Marantz SR4023. I am also going to eventually install a Behringer Ultracurve Pro DEQ2496 equalizer, by removing the jumper from the preamp to amp connectors and installing the Behringer unit between the connectors. But first I am going to make a test configuration to fully educate myself on the Behringers functions and how to safefully operate it. I believe it would be a prudent move on my part to install fast blowing fuses for the Cornwall II's. I've read, on several forums, of damaging effects on speakers by making the wrong adjustment on an equalizer. What would be the correct value of a fast blowing fuse to protect my beloved Cornwall II's? Thank You. [Y]
  18. I followed your links to Youtube & Facebook.Very helpful. I also own the same subwoofer, as do many fellow Klipsch Forum members. I am very interest in knowing which components you replaced in the amplifier, to return the subwoofer back to a functioning unit. Thank You.
  19. The owners manual for the SW-112 subwoofer indicates that when in the "AUTO" position, the subwoofer will automatically turn "ON" when it senses a signal. It will automatically turn "OFF" after 20 minutes with no signal. I had the same experience when I first used my Klipsch SUB-12HGB subwoofer. I panicked, but I then reread the owners manual. And sure enough, I timed the unit, and the light turned "RED" after 20 minutes. [H]
  20. I checked the Klipsch authorized on-line dealer list. Newaudiovideo does not appear on this list, but does appear on the on-line "NOT" authorized to sell to sell Klipsch products list. This purchase would nullify any warranty from Klipsch. I would rather pay a fair price and obtain a factory authorized warranty. This would maintain the integrity of the dealer and customer loyalty to the fine products produced by Klipsch. [H]
  21. Thank You again. My first access to the link you supplied came up with a blank screen. Unfortunately I did not follow-up to your second link. This is exactly what happens when I get in a rush. This seals the deal, I am ordering the unit.
  22. Thank You for your reply. I sent an email to Klipsch technical support and received a reply from a senior product support representative. He indicated that there were two separate switches that control power to the unit. One is an "ON/OFF" switch for main power, and the other allows settings for AUTO and Constant. I have yet to find a clear, close-up picture of the back panel connections for this specific unit. This would definitely confirm which switch configuration is being used on this unit. [*-)]
  23. I am new to the forum. By the postings I have read, there are plenty of well informed Klipsch owners in the world. I am looking for a subwoofer to compliment my system. I have found a Klipsch Sub-12HG subwoofer, supplied from Amazon.com online. Being that Amazon.com is an authorized Klipsch Dealer, the two year warranty will be honored. I need to know if this subwoofers power switch is a 3 position switch (ON/AUTO/OFF) or a two position switch (AUTO/OFF)? [8]
