  1. I have a pioneer VSX-1121-K and I am running 5.1 with a pair of Chorus II for the fronts, an Academy for the center, a Lab 12 Tapped horn for the sub and a pair of Forte II for the rear surrounds. I want to change it to a 9.1 system. I have a pair of original Forte, and two pair of KG4. I want something smaller than the KG4.

1 What other KG models should I be looking for?

2 Or what else should I be looking for?

3 Is the timber match as important with the extra surround?

4 Would it be a waste of time?

5 Is there much to be gained going from 5.1 to 9.1?

  2. I have a Pioneer VSX 1121-K playing through a Carver C-1 preamp and a Carver M 1.0t amp for the front channels in my 5.1 home theater setup. The front speakers are Chorus II. They also do double duty as my two channel setup using a cd player or an I pod through my Pioneer 1121 and the Carver stuff. I have tried all possible combinations that I can find with the Pioneer, but for the life of me I can't seem to make the subwoofer work on two channel. The sub is a LAB 12 tapped horn. Now I know that the Chorus II can go very low, but I would like to integrate the sub if at all possible for two channel. Is there a way to make the Pioneer play two channel with a sub?

  3. Anyone have any experience with this bass bin? Hartke 215xl. I have a chance to pick one up really cheap. I am probably going to get it any way. I can flip it and make money if it doesn't work out. Would this work as a sub for music or HT? I was considering a Bash 500 plate amp to run with it.
