  1. Thanks for tips, guys! I was successfully able to glue down the outer edges of the accordion surrounds, and make sure all the seals are air tight. Pushing on the passive makes the big woof move outwards, and vice versa. I'm thrilled with the sound, and Crites Ti diaphragms are on their way. Don't get me wrong, the stock poly diaphragms are fine, but the Crites add extra air and detail. I was hesitant about the black finish, but seeing it in person, it is quite sleek and modern. They weren't exactly cheap, but I'm happy to pay market price for such an awesome speaker that doesn't pop up too often, or for very long when they do. :-D

  2. Welll..... I have to admit, I'm the culprit! Lol I got them. :-) I couldn't resist! Of course, thanks to the heads-up. I've barely had time to play with them. Drivers are fine, except I have to reglue the accordion surround on a small part of one of the passives. A small section near a screw hole is loose and has some air escaping. Should be good as new when I'm done. They're flipping amazing! Next up, get Crites Ti diaphragms.

  3. I received the pair of drivers that I won off Ebay. I requested that they were matched for resistance, since more than one pair was available. Both are around 12ohms. I opened up to inspect the diaphragms, and it looks like two different types! Argh! One has N 1.18 and the other has N 2.7 written on the dome with marker. Are these different thickness? I want a matched pair for home use. I've attached photos. Thanks for any input!
