Whoops double post.

Very good condition, aside from center dust cap being pushed in and dented, and then popped back out. New dust caps are available for cheap, but this one doesn't look too bad. Email for photos. Works great.

Thanks for the offer, Schu! I'll email you them.

Apparently, my photos exceed the 2mb limit and cannot be uploaded. Please email for photos.

1986 K-horns, laminated walnut, in very good condition. Original drivers, AK 3 crossovers. Some slight wear on the laminated corners of one, and a few faint scratches here about there, but shiny and great looking overall. They are easy to maintain because of the laminate, and shine very easy with the application of high quality wood surface products. The tops are removable and rotatable. I have them that way because of my small room, as shown in photos. Side grilles are also removed in the photos because the house has side moldings and didn't fit well with them on. Grills will be reattached for demo, as well as the top hats back to stock positioning unless requested otherwise. I'd love to keep them, but my current place doesn't have even remotely decent corners.

Is that available in 16ohm? What qualities do you find better the BMS?
-
Which model Community driver?
-
Those Faital have some sweet specs! Has anyone compared them to the BMS? Or the Eminence?
-
Thanks for the suggestions! I'd certainly give the EVs a shot if I found them for a good price.
-
Thanks for the input! I'm currently using K55M and EV 2inch adapters. How big of an impact does the high quality 2inch driver make? I understand Be drivers are great, owning some Yamaha speakers that feature them. I'll have to wait for TAD, too expensive. I like metal diaphragms, hence my interest in the Eminence also. I'm curious about the BMS, what material do they use? I understand the phenolic drivers have a warmth to the sound. Is this lack of detail? Argh I wish I could hear them first hand! Qualitative comparisons are greatly appreciated.

I understand that BMS is highly recommended, but I've heard good things about the latest Eminence Ti large format drivers also. I'm using K-horns with Crites 4500 crossovers on Vtrac horns and Beyma Cp 25 tweeters. I'd love to find a bargain, obviously. Thanks for suggestions!

Nicely done! I recall seeing your work before. Which horn are you using with them and what are you using for a gasket?
-
I'm using my K55M with EV 2inch adapters and Vtrac horns in my K-horns. I'm still waiting to decide on a large format horn driver upgrade. I was wondering, the EV adapters have horn gaskets that are more narrow and less obstructive than the old orange ones. I do recall reading that the old gaskets helped the top end or something along those lines, but are they necessary when I'm not using K400 anymore? The horn path is much more open with the new gaskets. I'm wondering if anyone has compared? Thanks!

Sounds good! Thanks for the offer. I'm near Columbus

Very interesting! Thanks for your insight. I wondered if the Epics were an upgrade over the Chorus II. I haven't heard either, but recall seeing Epics at a local hifi store years ago. Great looking speakers too!

Nice score! I was very interested in those myself. I'll have to be content with my KLF10 and Crites Ti phragms. ;-) Those two ten inch woofers pack some punch! You'll have to post a comparison to your Chorus! Enjoy

Bump for an excellent seller!

I just recently got some KLF 10 and swapped out the diaphragms for Crites Ti. Love em! Good luck in your search. I'd be interested but I'm not close enough.

Nice sounding horns!

As you know, KLF 10 are just plain great speakers! I have K-horns and enjoy the KLF10 as well. The KLF10 dig deep with plenty of punch. Don't get me wrong, the Belle are classics but won't have the low bass that you're used to. Perhaps hook up those KLF with an active crossover and use them as stereo subwoofers with the Belles? That would kick hard!
