  1. I usually don't have a problem with shipping.  Problem is this sub is fairly big and awkward and because the drivers are on all sides and not flush with the cabinet, I can't imagine a better chance than 50/50 of it arriving alive.

Roadie.com looks interesting though, it definitely will fit in the front seat of a car.  If that's what you want to do, I'll get the process started.

  2. Not affiliated but thought I needed to share.

And I'm just going to throw this out there, if anyone has an XPA-2 and would rather have an XPA-1, I'm an hour north of this and will drive down to purchase this and ship it to you for the XPA-2.

  3. Pretty incredible deal on UMC-200, UPA-700, and the MRCA-7 interconnects for 799$. If anyone's in the market for a receiver or separates, it would be difficult to get any more bang for your buck than this. I'm not sure if buying the bundle will qualify you for the 25% off processor for life discount though.

  4. Have you looked at any Sherbourn models? The brand is being phased out so they have deep price cuts on some of their models. Check out Sherbourn PT-7020. It's basically a 2,000$ processor for 400$. I'm not 100% sure how it works, but I believe Emotiva's parent company also owned Sherbourn, so you'd get Emotiva's customer service on it, which in my opinion, has been nothing but absolutely stellar.

  5. I'm not sure when the 9x series came out, but I was under the impression the 10x's are still pretty young. Even if the next ones are coming out soon, Oppos seem to hold their value extremely well. Just keep it in great condition.

  6. I believe Emotiva is shutting down the Sherbourn line and hence offering very deep discounts on some very good products. It's 49$ over your limit, but check out this one Sherbourn SR-8100.

I knew they had some cheap stuff, but I'm surprised at some of the prices on those products. Too bad most are sold out. 400$ for a 2,000$ processor seems ridiculous and too good to be true.

  7. Anyone else ever heard any songs by Lorde? Just heard one on the radio and I am hooked. Had to rush home and play some on the HT.

  8. I've got RS-62's to go with my rf-83's and rc-64 and am very happy with them. They probably are a little overkill for surrounds, but it's nice having the head room just in case. I also suggest RB-61's for rear surrounds if you start looking for those as well. Wouldn't trade either for anything unless I hit the lottery and get a room full of jubs and/or khorns.

  9. Shoot 'Em Up is great! I've lost count of the number of times I've watched, even two nights in a row with two visitors. Women enjoy it more than most "shoot-'em-ups", likely because of the baby.

Also, Smith's defence of himself and the girl and the baby during the love scene could not be more macho. Taking out all those ninjas while pleasuring his lady at the same time, well, what could be manlier than that?

The Transporter (the first one, with Shu Qi) is another favourite of mine.

I enjoyed that movie as well. It was just enough over the top where you don't take it seriously and it just becomes a fun movie to watch.

  10. OP, I urge you to listen to other speakers (and not only Klipsch speakers). The RF-7 II's are known for being bright among Klipsch, which are known for being bright among most brands because they are horn loaded.

If you are dedicated to Klipsch, I'd suggest listening for a good 20 minutes at a decent volume to ensure they don't give you ear fatigue. And as others are saying, check out some RF-83's if you can find some. If you like the Klipsch sound but think the RF-7 II's are going to be too bright, the RF-83's would probably be perfect for you.
