  1. I got a pair of Belles with the Camel Grill Cloth in WO as well?Is this what they call it Camel ? Does anyone know if anyone still makes that or a similar copy of it,It really gives them that 70's 80's retro vibe...lol.I would like to get some to redo my hersey grill to match the belles,

  2.  Will, I didn't sell the KLF 30s they are chillin in the other bedroom not being used at the moment till i figure out what i want to do with them.

Mustanger, I like to tinker and mod my speakers, just as you say, but I think you would be 10 times ahead to try a sub or two first.

As far as adding a sub i have my 5.1 with my Epik dual 15 sub and my 2 channel setup in the same room and therefore dont really have the room for another sub let alone 2.Plus the wife factor i think she would flip.I like the bass from the Quartets its the mids and highs that i want from in the herseys .

  3. Ok i am not a audio tech person but here is what i was wondering? Being i like the way my Hersey's sound in the mid and highs and i like the bass of my Quartets...Can i put the mid and highs in my Quartets being the are both 3 way speakers.I know i would have to do a little tweaking for the mid to fit in the Quartets but other than that can it be done?  Also what crossover should i use. What are your thoughts on this am i missing something.I would also like to be able to put both sets back to original if need be.

  4. Hello i am a novice to all the mod upgrade stuff so bare with me...I have a pair of Hersey and hersey ll, Quartets ,Klf 30 and Chorus ll.I have been wanting to upgrade the basic stuff like bob crittes x overs and ti tweeters will these be an upgrade because honestly i dont understand any of what you listed. If i bought a pair i would be able to try them out in all the speakers? Is this just the plastic your sell or for 80 ill get a drop upgrade? Sorry for being such a noob...lol.Oh will this help with my Klf c7 center for a better match?

    Thanks

    Greg

  5. He was the original owner bought them from sound advice in fort luaderdale. They are consecutive serial numbers. He said that he mostly used them to drum to.got them for $575.Plan on using them with my jolida tube amp and from there being i have some quartets ill try them out in a 5.1 system.I just really wanted to hear them for myself play around with them.

  8. Well being i cant read the serial numbers i thought i had Ver 1 but now after more investigating i am going with ver 3. 1 speaker had the clear wire crossover then the other had the multicolor wires. Then i went ahead and pulled a woofer and found a date from 1996. With that everyone says the ver 3 are crap but to me and comparing them to some of my other Klipsch i have and owned in the past (LC ,CW ll,KG 5.2)  I don't know what to do with them...lol.They are not as brite/crisp as my klf 30 but ,sound better then my quartets. The 78 Hersey's lack in the bass dept for bass heavy music. But are killer with their forte of music ie jazz folk classical.I love the look of the cf 3, so does anyone  know if i can just use the cabinet's for another set up of some sort or sell them and try some Chorus ll's. Sorry i am so indecisive...lol

  9. Hey guys need some help.I just scored some cf-3s and i cant read any of the serial numbers to tell what version i have.I feel they are either versions 2 or 3 because they have the 3 inch ports. The guy i got them from didnt even know what model cfs he had.I didnt know anything about the cf series so i had no idea about the 3 versions either. They oak but what can i look for to find out if they are version 2 or 3.
