Darth I think that we are both retarded and tone deaf.... I will put those speakers up against any of the junk you have listed for your system and you will leave like a puppy .... as I mentioned im going to test the Ultras this weekend and see how they hold up.. gonna run them out at my beach pad for the usual 8 hours cranked and see how they do with the 2 microtechs running juice into them.. I think they will bust just like they usually do they already pop at decent levels.... JUNK a pair of bazookas standing up for more than 400 bucks is a ripoff in my buck HORN LOADED is the way to go believe me RETARD.....

the 2 cabinets cost me $ 1100.00 at my favorite hangout pro shop and the 2 microtechs some dude turned them in and I paid $1200.00 for the pair plus $150.00 in patch cords. the cabinet mods $ 50.00 so like $ 2500.00 not too bad I dont think that overpriced Velo stuff is way more than that and like i posted before you can build a decent sub for around $ 600.00 that would kick butt on some of the other stuff being recommended around here. but I noticed that some people are already calling me stuped so Im going to cut this argument short some people cant take the responses that other users have about the junk they buy.

Oh yeah forgot to mention the Ears works for Velo LOL !!!!! JUNK JUNK !!! I dont want to piss anyone off but quit telling these people that have no access to 1 million dollars to spend to buy something out of their budget.. most times you can build a sub that will outperform anything that is sold at the stereo shops. for lots lots less... Im going to run the similar test on a pair of SVS CS+ 20-39 and I hope they dont pop like they are famous for at higher levels I will hook them up to the win microtechs too and wait for the results..

Ok the challenge is on then the ears seems to have unlimited income go to the nearest pro audio shop get a pair of the Cerwin Vegas do the small mods to the cabinet and hook up the 2 microtech 2400 amps to them place them in your so called listening room and take the junky HGS 18 and the SVS and the Revel or whatever else you have and place your favorite audio CD or Movie in your player which of course is placed about 1 mile away from the subs and crank it up I usually run the speakers for around 8-10 hours at 3/4 output and the Velo will crap out that worthless amp on it is JUNK heats up around 2-3 hours (I will need to run a test on that time for you to be sure on the time) but hey you know what I like this pair of Cerwins and i know that if the speaker ever blows I could always place another better 18" driver in there and improve response a lil bit I built a small sub with band pass box using one of those eminence speakers 12" with just a small plate amp 250W and sounds better than most of the crap I hear people recommend around here.

well yes I am deaf and brain dead but the HGS 18 is JUNK !!! and the SVS CRAP is not far behind... I dont mean to offend anyone just getting the conversation interesting. we are doing some tuning to these cabinets and I will post some new freq response graphs it is going down to 25Hz now with some minor mods want to get down to around 20Hz and that is good enough for me.. I will challenge any HGS SVS little girl cabinet to sound even close to one of these boxes. now with a pair it just kicks butt.. the Velo sounds like farts sloooooowwwww like my cars bad pass box and SVS lacks even further behind. but hey Im Brain Dead and I like it... you would be better off any day with a pair of 6th order boxes with a 500W plate amp... OOOOOOHHHHHH BASSSSSS yeah right for the deaf....

and I thought that when I referred to the Sony as Junk I was being nice. TheEar you said it all. anyone that would recommend that Junk with a pair of Acoustimess obviously has a problem. not that my system is better than most but it rocks and rolls. even though I do need to replace that old junker 50" plasma for a 60"

well after reading all these posts I have come to the conclusion that we are all Crazy about our equipment that we own and would never settle for anything else that we dont own, that is why people that own BOse think that stuff is the best. I for one am not 100% pleased with my velo hgs even though all my friends think that the system sounds awesome I have decided to try something that I have not seen posts on and ordered the DEC ware plans and drivers to build my own I hope Im happier with these things since I dont know anyone that has heard them. btw I have had bad experience with Klipsch returning calls I dont know what the hell if their product was not the best in the world I would deal with someone else. it seems that they are just too busy repairing speakers and amps now when I first bought my KLF30s they kept blowing tweeters and took me a week to get in touch with anyone there. KLIPSCH still rocks..

pardon My English but there is FAST BASS ... and i strongly believe I can only get that out of a Folded Horn Enclosure that is why the DEC ware was my option.. as for the KSW I have heard that and my POS Velodyne blows it away the Sony I have never heard but if it is like anything else in speakers that they make it is probably junk, and as for the Acoustimass well they are simply the best my daughter has some of those with my old HGS12 and a pair of old Fortes and she seems to like them I think she uses the bose for looks only

The Reason for the DECWARE is I want Fast Bass I believe that the only Fast and True Bass will come out of a Folded Horn enclosure, now the problem is what is a good amp to drive these things with Plate vs Rack Mount I was thinking about going with a Peavey 1000 Watt.. sorry for all the dumb questions.

so you guys think that the KSW 15 would be a better choice that then wicked one or the SVS sub, i want something that hits in the chest and goes low low..

well I have not heard either the SVS or the HSU but have heard from all you folks that they are great subs. I currently own a Velodyne HGS 18 and it does a decent job in setup but Im thinking about upgrading to something a little faster all the subs that I have heard sound like farting underwater. just my opinion I have a pair of Belles up front and want to place them on top of 2 of these boys. I just came back from seeing The Who In concert at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas with their JBL tour I was sitting smack in the center about 16 rows back on the floor and I swear to god these guys are kick *** but they lacked volume..
